    Hey,

A few weeks ago I came across a blog where this person was finding jewellery in magazines and the catwalk and made tutorials for her own versions.

I'm desperate to find the site again but can't for the life of me find it any where.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    *high five*

I made Mario for the geeky swap, haha.
But yeah, just look on the internet - "Perler bead projects" etc.
And if you have specific ideas in mind, google images it, e.g. "Mario perler beads"

And also, just be creative! Come with your own designs if you can't find the one you're looking for...

Post your creations on here when you're done with them!

Most books would list this as Macrame. (Mah-Krah-may)

    www.wikihow.com/Macrame

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macramé

    www.craftsitedirectory.com/macrame

Any good old fashioned craft book or even one of the links above should give you some idea.

A little difficult to master at first, but once you get the hang of it, very, very easy.

My dad used to make them out of leather thongs, these could be up to 4 inches wide and he used to make them for the Hells Angels Chapter he was a member of.

So effectively, these can be as delicate or as masculine as you would like them to be.

    Good luck

    K/xxx

Also, don't forget about storage and an efficient workspace. What you can do if you don't want beads going all over the place is lay down a towel to stop them from moving around.

A bead reamer may prove useful if you won't be working with small glass beads.

also always look for old jewellery and unusual materials that you can use as cheap beads like old buttons, fabrics and it recycles stuff that is otherwise doomed to be thrown away

Beads of your choice always make it a good selection.
    Seed Beads.
    Beading needles
    Nylon thread.
    Tigertail
    crimps
    callottes
    Elastic thread.
Pliers (round nose and flat nose)
    wire cutters
    Headpins and Eyepins
    Jump rings
    Clasps
Cords and threads of all different types
    Chain
    wire a few different gauges
    charms
    ear wires
It depends really on what sort of jewellery you want to make this covers basic stringing necklaces and charm bracelets and earrings.

These are basically a high fashion version of friendship braclets which is a popular style both on the high street and in the craft magazines at the moment, I agree with Monika about the square knots. the beads look like stardust beads http://www.the-beadshop.co.uk/index.php/14mm-stardust-beads-gold-plated.html

The "clasp" is adjustable because the ends are bound together in a squareknot section which makes it adjustable.

Thank you so much i'll look into it.

That definitely isn't worth $150, though the beads are interesting.

Anyway, the cord looks like black satin rat tail.
The knots between the beads are square knots.

For the ends, it looks like two extra strands were attached behind the big beads, then they were used to make a square knot tunnel over the ends which are part of the first section of the bracelet.

Basically I have no idea what this type of bracelets threading is referred to even if it has a name.

Anyone tutorial on how to do this or some steps I can be given.
I'd also like how the ends were made.
I would purchase this bracelet from the sellers as it looks great and of good quality but they want an average of 150 USD which isn't very reasonable.

Hobby Lobby sells a lot of nice jewelry stuff. Depending on where you live, Pat Catan's has nice stuff, too.

I agree with Crafty Geek on ebay. I buy everything from there as its incredibly cheap. I also love all the tibetan silver charms and beads they have on there
