I have a mirena, which I got inserted at the end of last year for my extreme period pains, which sometimes made me pass out. It completely stopped my pain and eventually I stopped getting a period altogether.
I have always struggled with bad skin, and my doctor put me on a very light pill for it, which is safe for people with mirenas. When I got to the white part, I got my first period in 5 months, with intense pain (on the same level as before my mirena) and quite a heavy flow. I was about to start my 4th month on the pill, and each time I have gotten a period. So today I told my mother I'm stopping because it's not worth it. I hate my skin but I'm so miserable because of what being on the pill has done. I don't know how long it'll take for my body to go back to the way it was, without having my period and the pain, and I'm going on holiday with my boyfriend on the 24th of September until the 3rd of October (my cycle as a result of the pill is now +- 25th-30th of each month =[

I'm just gonna try all of this all over and see what happens.. I have LOTS of stretch marks on my stomach from pregnancies, c-section scar, and facial scarring due to acne. I want some full-body laser treatment, I'm a mess!

If you are happy and comfortable, there's no need to feel insecure! I personally shave all body hair (except my arms) but that's just me. I think the hair (on me) is gross and smelly. I know that mostly stems from my being influenced by American Society, but hey, I didn't choose my upbringing.
So don't hide the pits, if that's who you are!

I have super DOOM thick hair, so while I tried not to shave (cause I am super lazy!), I ended up having to because my hair was so thick it got itchy :S But for at school, I'd suggests not even long sleeved tops, but find things with long-ish tee shirt sleeves. I can fit boy-tops that are a size small, and they always have longer sleeves than girl tops, so maybe try that?

I had this problem, whether I was getting them put on professionally or whether I did them myself - I found it was because the shape of my nails wasn't the same as the shape of the fake ones - like, naturally my nails are pretty flat, if you look at them down the tip (like you're trying to look under them), they aren't very rounded - so when the fake nails are glued on, because they're usually pretty firm plastic, they were forcing my natural nails into a shape they didn't naturally suit. If you decide to get them done again, either see if they have flatter shaped ones, or, if they use a size that is too big, but cut up the sides and re-shape them, they sit better. In my case, when I do my own, I buy nails that are only meant to be tips (the crazy long ones), and then shape the ends to fit my nails - after I started doing that, I had no more pain, its how I finally grew my nails!

I'd just buy one - here there are tonnes of cheap stores which generally have prices between like $1-$10, and they always have like 8 different colours, and the wigs are never more than $8 each, and thats for a long one - I got a short bright blue bob wig from them for $4.50, and after taking it out of the pack, and a little hairspray and time, I managed to make it pretty presentable!

I don't know about metallic ones, but the Incoco Dry Nail Appliques are AMAZING. I'm currently wearing theirs in Yellow Bikini, and they're excellent. I'd also say the Sally Hansen ones are okay. The one thing to be careful of is really cheap ones which aren't nail polish at all, they're just foil stickers - I've used those a couple of times, they just peel off after like a day. You can tell if they're actually polish when you open them, it kinda smells like nail polish. They're really good though, and so much easier and less time consuming than actual nail polish! The Incoco ones have heaps of just plain colours with sparkle, but they also have a french tips kit, which looks really gorgeous and professional on, but without the hassle of painting the tips on!

I have boob stretch marks as well, and I've found a mix of cocoa butter and shea butter works wonders - they aren't completely gone, but they've kinda gone...clear? Like, rather than being red or purply, they're more like if you let PVA glue dry on your skin, kinda shiney, like really old scars get. Which for me is better than purple, cause at least they aren't obvious! I've never tried lavender oil, I find it dries my skin out too much.
If you can get unprocessed shea butter, that is amazing for them - I bought some online when I was making sugar scrubs (I used it as a base), and had a heap left, and I'd just take a small chunk of it and rub it over the marks, its really helped minimise them :)

This happened to my sister-in-law - she'd been dyeing her hair for years and years, bleaching it really light then putting in colours, and one day it just suddenly got all damaged and lifeless, for no reason. She's had hairdressing training, so she was really careful about it too, and never left the bleach on for too long. Her solution was to stop bleaching it, and let her hair grow out completely several times before even thinking of re-dyeing it, and I'd try that. Lots of conditioner and hair care stuff (the Panteen 3minute miracle, and the Panteen Night Repair Serum are AMAZING, if you can find them!), and it should help!

Thanks for all the advice - as yet, still getting peely polish though :( I tried roughing my nails a bit before I put it on, that just changed how it peeled off - kinda went all flakey, and would come off patchy (which IMO is worse than peeling off whole - at least then I can just put new polish on straight away!), and tried not using a base coat - that was a bad plan, my nails got really badly stained and it took weeks for them to return to normal colour! Tried new polishes, and have had the same reaction from brand new $2 stuff that I had to brand new Orly and OPI *shrug* At this point, seems like something I'll just have to live with!

Darling Avea - I feel like making your own tattoo or having a specific idea is the best way to go! Makes it so much more personal and meaningful

I have a quote from the book of Esther with a fallen sakura flower on the top of my left shoulder blade. I got in memory of my best friend who had her name changed to Esther based on the book - she passed away three years ago & whenever I see my tattoo I feel happy, she'll never be forgotten.
This is my first time adding one of these picture thingies...I hope I did it right..

    Hello Curly Girl,

It is perfectly possible to have bangs with curly hair. Make sure you get bangs that frame your face and know that it will not be flat unless you straighten it. If you do, make sure to use a hair heat protectant to prevent damage. I have a book for curly girls and I swear it works for dry curly hair!
Its called CurlyGirlMethod and as a curly girl myself, it sure helps me wth my hair emergencys. Totally worth looking up.
    Hope this helps!

You can daily moisterize your skin with coca butter. I know I've had this problem during the winter as well. Clean your face before bed to avoid oily skin or acne as well.
    Hope this helps!

I have never had this exsperience before but I have used coca butter on my scrapes and scars to prevent and heal damaged skin. Vasaline is also good to use to help heal your stretch marks.
    Hope this helps!

    Hello Darling,

Wearing any makup to bed attracts bacteria which triggers acne and oily skin. It will also stain your pillow.
    Hope this helps!

    Hello Darling,

I would use a deep conditioner every end of the week and get a leave-in conditioner. This will hydrate your damaged hair so it will produce more nutrients to repair it. I would not dye or bleach your hair any time soon to let your hair heal. If you find a leave-in conditioner, find one with no alcohol or sulfates, those chemicals strip the hair of its natural moisure. Its all about moisture now to help it repair. Dont worry, it might takea while, but it will heal. I have cury hair and have used many chemical treatments to try to straiten it. After I faced the fact that it was terribly damaged, I decided to go natural. Been growing it out for two years now! Good luck with your hair journey!
    How this helped!

    Hello Darlings,

I have always been a fan of tattoos and as an artist I've always wanted to design my own. I found one that I adore but Im deathly afraid of needles! I hope that I can be able to bear the needles in order to truely love that I want to get. I'd like the numbers 143 on the inside of my wrist and a G-Clef in the shape of an S fo the word "Speak" on my shoulder. Any advice? Thank you!

    Hello Darling,

First leave in the dye for about an hour after you apply it to your hair and when you rinse it out of your hair use cold water. In a old conditioner bottle, mix your original conditioner and a bit of your hair dye and replace with your original conditioner. It will be a refresher for your hair. I reccomend deep conditioning your hair every end of the week or once a month at least so your hair will regain its natural moisture. Shampoo your hair once every three days to keep color the longest you possibly can.

Any more questions or tips, just leave a comment at my page!

    xoxo,

    Darling Avea

I never buff my nails, though i should hahaha.
I clean my nails with acetone then apply a clear basecoat (usually sally hansen but sometimes random clear polish).
let it dry ENTIRELY. It shouldn't be sticky to the touch. I usually wait 2-5 minutes. Apply the color in several coats, waiting between coats for drying. Then apply a top coat (i use sally hansen or Fresh Paint's "finished"). Let your hands rest for as long as possible, but definitely invest at least 10-15 minutes to be sure the polish is completely dry. After that avoid banging your nails (it'll chip) or soaking them for extremely long periods of time (it'll peel).
Sometimes it's just the nailpolish. Delia's nail polish peels super easy -_-

Perhaps a pink-to-purple ombré at the tips. similar to this:
http://www.latherrinserepeat.com.au/2012/06/pink-orange-and-purple-ombre-balayage.html (scroll down, she's at the bottom)

Or you can just colour the bangs!:

I'd just dye the tips all the way around, pink is always a good color. That way if you want to change it up you don't have to wait long for it to grow out and it's not too "extreme"

or you could do something even more subtle like peek-a-boos

or if you can manage a really soft pink ombre I think it pairs well with platinum

I like the idea above, I did this last summer, and it's great as you can tie your hair back in a way that the colour doesn't show whilst you are at work.
  24. Posted 10 months ago
you could do a ombre thing? or the back of your head pink. the part that is by your neck in a ponytail, im trying to find pics.

I have platinum hair, basically this colour:

I'm so bored with my hair at the moment, but unfortunately at my new job, I can't dye my whole head pink again like I want to, so I need an idea of a way I can add a bright colour (either pink, purple, turquoise or a combination) to my hair without doing anything too "extreme" for my job.

I want somethig that's not just a plain streak, something creative but not too crazy.

    Any pics would be helpful.

I've seen them all over the place. Target, cvs, ulta, Claire's and icings. Claire's and icings have their own brand that works well but the more general stores carry Sally Hanson which gives you more foils and a greater range of sizes. The prices I've seen range from $6.00 - $13 (for the 20+ foils SH sells) and they are super easy to apply (goes on clean in like no time at all), last at least a full week and the designs are amazing.

Just be sure to buff and clean nails, and put a clear coat over to seal.

My sister has pixie hair, she wears these great scarves like a a head band around her head, its very boho. You can also take a small curling iron.. like 1/4" barrel and do little hair flips all over your head.

I don't have must experience with short hair but you could liven it up with a bit of colour? You could use that temporay spray colour to spray little sections and add texture with a wax or texturising spray. Cute grips, slides and hair bands always look especially nice in short hair too and there are loads of ideas on here. How about these:

Whatever you do don't waste your money on "Trendy Nail Wraps" junk,junk,junk...they don't stay on and are a waste of time and money. Nail foil looks like silver leaf (non toxic)which you can get at really any craft store for 5-7 dollars and just apply it with basic manicure tools.

So I wanted to try Nail Foils but I'm not sure where to buy from. All of the videos that I've watched say that they bought theirs from this website dollarnailart.com . I've looked on that website and it looks kind of sketchy. I was wondering if any of you have tried it, and what you thought. Also where you bought them from. I would want to buy them form a store rather than a website, but all of the beauty stores that I can think of only carry "Hair Foils". Anyway, Help would be much appreciated :)
    Thanks
