What are you itching to make?
Started 10 days ago · Last post about 19 hours ago ·
I'm was perfectionist when I got grades for my projects. In the end I realized that my hard work didn't exactly pay off as much as effort had put in the project. It was always just good. Not ridiculously good how I wanted it. So now I'm rather lazy. But today I made a a happy gram, a moss terrarium and a bracelet so I can cross these off my list.

I also want to make summer clothes. So many items in mind, it exhausting to think about it. And, I want to cook and bake more. But, I have to do my finals first and then I can relax and craft and cook forever.

You can also make little holes with a needle on the long dotted line. Or use a sewing machine. Just test a few different sizes of stitches to see which one works the best.

Need of a horror movie! Sugestions please!
Started 13 days ago · Last post 4 days ago ·
I liked Blair Witch Project very much but I've only seen it one time so I cannot tell if it's also good when you see it twice. I also liked The Others. I thinks it's a thriller that's good to handle when you're not really into horror movies. it has a really nice plot in my opinion.
I've also seen the The grudge 1, 2 and 3. I watched them alone, in the dark, in my bed and I didn't sleep for 4 days. I've seen the American version of The Ring but It's nothing compared to the Grudge in my opinion. Maybe because the effects were not very new for me.
Furthermore I've seen Gremlins ( I cannot remember this very well because I was 8 years old, Seven, Nosferatu a symphony des graues 1922 (deaf-mute movie, more tragic than scary), When a stranger calls (mwa), I know what you did last summer (mwa), Paranormal Activity 3 (got scared 3 days later because it took me a while before I realized what I watched),The exorcist: the beginning (wma), Seeds of Chuckie (seriously, don't waste your time). Of this list, Paranormal Activity is the scariest. I've seen the beginning of The Messengers but I've turned it off because I wasn't in the mood for scary kids. I really don't like kids in horror movies.
My sister saw Mama a few weeks ago and she really liked it. Good story line, she told me.
I hope this helped. I'd like to know which one you choose for your party. And, happy birthday!

Candy flavors--your favorites
Started 5 months ago · Last post 21 days ago ·
I'm not very into candy because I think the flavors taste like plastic, you know, fake. I rather eat real fruit than candy. I do like chocolate, and I love vanilla and, of course, the taste of sugar. I think most people like strawberry, cherry and lemon. The worst taste in the world, in my opinion, is pineapple. I do like the fruit, I don't like the candy.
I wish you good luck with your shop, I don't think I will ever pass by, since I'm not living near the states, I hope I do though.

need books!
Started about 1 month ago · Last post 23 days ago ·
Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green by Kirstin Gier are really really nice books. It's kinda adventure but it's really easy to read and it's funny and romantic and exciting. Altogether it's about 1000 pages and I read it only in 4 days, and, I'm not a big reader at all. You should really try it!

Belly Dancing Charms
Started about 1 month ago · Last post 3 days ago ·
The charms I've seen so far are mostly made of some kind of aluminum. I don't know what your charms are made of but they might be too heavy. Have you tried to sew them on one by one? Maybe they won't snag this way. Is it possible to share a picture of how it looks and the materials you are using? Maybe then I can help a little bit more.

what is your favorite type of art?
Started about 1 month ago · Last post 28 days ago ·
I love dada, pop art, art noveau, suprematism, cobra and de stijl. I also love surrealism but I'm not a fan of Dali, I like Magritte much more. I wouldn't buy art. The pieces I really love should be/are in museums. And, it's really expansive, I can fake whatever I want. Or just make my own art.

Whip it movie dress! Help!
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
1. Cut out twice the shape of a well fitting top.
2. Cut out the neck line and middle part of one of your half tops.
3. Make button holes for the string. Make sure they are at the same height. -> see green dots
4. Good sides facing each other, sew the parts together. -> see purple
5. Cut out a skirt using this site: http://www.ficklesense.com/2011/09/how-to-make-circle-skirt-full-34-12-14.html
6. Put the top in the skirt, good sides facing each other, pin and sew. Tie everything off.
-> It's better to sew everything with tacking thread first. Then you try it and, when happy with the result, sew it with normal thread.
Please let me know if this little tutorial was useful. Good luck and I'd love to see the result :)

Writing in Books
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
I underline, make notes and draw in books. Some people think it's like sacrilege but I like putting a new story in a book. Some books I took with me on holiday are full of stains and marks of the holiday so whenever I read it again, I remember when I read it for the first time and what I did on holiday and things like that. I also write songs and such things in books that refer to the story. When I buy second-hand books I love to find notes, bookmarks and stuff in them. I once bought a book just because it's first owner left a letter in it. It gives me a great feeling. Do you know the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain? She found a little tin box, when I find a note in a book, I feel like she did when she found that box.

365 Love Reasons - boyfriend gift help!
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
You could write the reasons on strips of paper and then fold them into lucky stars. Put the stars in a nice jar. He will have to fold the stars open to read your message.
I made this one time with nice quotes for my friends. I kept the jar in my locker and each day or so we took one. Making them is a little time-consuming though.

Free Dress Patterns?
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
Hi,
That are some really nice dresses. I don't have any patterns for you but take a look here:
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/board/crafts/dressmaking/7355-free-dress-patterns-tutorials
Maybe the right pattern is among them.
For the second dress, If you make it with stretchy fabric, like in the 3rd picture, I don't think you'll need a pattern. Just use a well fitting top for the bodice (I know that's not the right word, well, my English vocabulary is not big enough). For the skirt, measure your waist and decide how long you want the skirt and make some kind of trapezium. Or a circle skirt, that would be easier, but it will have an other effect, I think. You probably have to put a zipper in the dress, but if you're not a beginner I think you'd be able to figure that out.
I'd love to see what you made, if you finished them!

Vinegar bath for fabric
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
I bought lovely fabric today which will be turned into a dress as soon as possible. The seller told me to that I should make a bath with water and vinegar and let the fabric in it for a night, then wash it with cold water. It would be better for the colours, he said. I have never done it before and I wonder if it is really necessary.
So my question is: Have you ever treated your fabric with vinegar before using it for further crafts? What is your experience?

facebook or no facebook?
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
I like facebook. I have a secret group with my close friends in which we make plans and discuss things for school and post pictures. We are the only ones who can see what we post so nobody else is bothered. I also have a IB group, in which the IB students and the teacher post stuff about class. I have also liked a few pages that post very interesting stuff about Celtic history and mythology. The page UGLY BELGIAN HOUSES always make me laugh and also does the page that post pictures of cats. Facebook also helps me to keep in touch with my dad and family that does not live near by. I spend a lot of time on facebook but time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time. So I'm happy.

how can i help this?
Started 2 months ago · Last post 2 months ago ·
Me and my friends put 50 cent in a pot for every unhealthy thing we eat to prevent us from fattening. If the pot is full we're probably going to buy ourselves nice fruits and veggies. You can do something like that.

My spring break ended Sunday. I cannot remember what I have been doing and it was only last week! I probably wasted my time -.- But this Saturday it is museum night. So I will hang out with friends in museums :)
