I've heard a lot of good things about Rocky Horror. What's it like?

Missing Project Buttons!
Started 6 months ago · Last post 6 months ago ·
I recently was going to add several projects to my favorites and lists, and when I went to do that, I realized that the buttons on the projects were missing. Now it's impossible to add any projects to favorites or lists. Is anybody else having this problem?

Steam punk help!
Started 7 months ago · Last post 6 months ago ·
Metallic spray paint will be really helpful for decorating props. In terms of colors, neutrals and metallics are pretty common, but there are almost never neon colors. Deep red and navy blue look like fairly common colors too. A lot of steampunk stuff is Victorian-based, so if you choose a wallpaper pick something in an appropriate color that has a Victorian look to it. That would give the mayor's house the rich look it needs. Make the furniture in his home fancy but still semi-old looking. If you need to jazz up any props or furniture, go to a hardware store and look for gears, screws, etc. that you could just add on to anything, or you could just dig through a junk drawer or toolbox and see what kind of stuff you have that might work. You won't want your sets to distract people from the actors, though, so be careful not to go overboard with anything. Hope I could help! If you have any questions, go on ahead and ask me.

I definitely wouldn't go too extreme with giant armor-type stuff or gigantic weapons. Rather than use huge, distracting costume pieces, it would probably be better just to stick to the basic elements. Pick shirts, skirts, pants, and such that are fairly simple, then add to the costumes with accessories like goggles, gloves, cool shoes, belts, bags, guns, jewelry, etc. (There are a bunch of great steampunk tutorials on CO+K.) Don't go overboard with too many accessories, though. Too many could be distracting from the show.
Now, on to sets. Obviously, huge electronics and machines are going to be difficult to move around the state. If you're going to do a backdrop, you could paint it a rich color and paint some gears and stuff on with gold or silver paint. (If you can give me a little bit more information on the play and what the sets are going to be comprised of, I could probably help a little bit more.)

New bunny help

I had some problems getting my two guinea pigs to settle in. Obviously, don't constantly try to grab him or chase him around. This will just make him more nervous. Instead, offer him some treats, and let him smell your hand so he becomes more used to you. After this, try slowly reaching out and petting him. (My guinea pigs prefer it when I pet them with the back of my hand. I think it makes them less afraid that they're going to be picked up.)
Also make sure that he seems comfortable. Keep him away from loud noises like the TV and music. If you have to pick him up, make sure you're holding him carefully so that he doesn't get hurt.
Obviously, this isn't going to just happen overnight. Some animals have different personalities than others, and maybe Frodo is just a less social rabbit. Just give him a little bit of time and see what happens. My guinea pigs took a whole week to get used to my house before they would let people touch them, and they still don't like being picked up. If Frodo just happens to be a less social rabbit, don't get discouraged. Keep him happy and he'll become more familiar with you eventually. (Sorry if I'm not much of a help. I've never owned a rabbit, only guinea pigs.)

Play Musical Instruments?
Started about 4 years ago · Last post 5 months ago ·
I've played violin since early elementary school, and I've been singing for many years. (I am a soprano with an E3 to E6 range.) Although I am thinking about learning how to play the piano or the harp too.

Mochi Mochi: I've heard that the book is VERY different than the musical. The book sounds very dark and slightly mature, and the musical is family-friendly and much more upbeat. The plot is very different too. I absolutely LOVE the musical though, so just expect things to be very different.

My lists
Started 7 months ago · Last post 7 months ago ·
Normally, you can click the "Add to List" button next to the "Favorite" button on a project and add it from there, but lately this feature hasn't been working. You'll have to wait until it's fixed to create any lists.

Welcome to CO+K! If you know how to embroider, you could put your name or a small design on them. You could also add studs across the straps, if you wanted to do that.

I agree with you, Monika. Although it would be nice if we had a choice between which mode we used, in case users had a preference.

A balance between organized and messy

I like my room the way your husband likes yours. Just a little bit of clutter makes it feel more like home than a hotel. Getting a rug sounds like a good idea, or you could just get some kind of basket that you could toss the clothes in. Then at night, you could just push it out of the way. If all else fails, just designate one spot where the clothes can go and make sure to avoid it when you wake up early.

I don't think Syeyon meant to take away from others' spotlight; she just wanted to give other members a chance to share information about themselves. She wasn't purposefully trying to take attention away from the featured members. She's a kid, and her intentions were good, so let's try to just let this go.

Im getting weird symbols on patterns!

Tom: There are too many to list. They appear on all sorts of projects on CO+K, but they tend to be really common on projects with patterns.

You could also try playing the harp. Even though everybody has heard of it, not that many people play it.

wrong or right

This probably isn't the worst thing you could do, but there's definitely a better way to approach the situation. I don't think the employees would be very pleased if they found you doing that. Plus there are copyrights on some pieces. I agree with Lauren that you probably shouldn't do this and should make some pieces out of sculpey or something instead of making a mold.

I'm half Korean, but I'm allergic to seafood, so my choices with Korean food are somewhat limited. But I love eating bulgolgi, galbi, tukguk soup, and gimbop.

At the drug store you can buy over-the-counter cream. You just put it on scars (not open cuts) and they will go away sooner or later. They will go away by themselves eventually, but the cream usually speeds it up a bit.
