Nothing wrong with being a crazy cat lady!
I'm a lot happier with a cat on my lap and a crochet hook in my hand than I have been in past relationships!

I had this happen to me once too - I simply messaged Cat and she chased it up and it arrived shortly after.

Buying Felt in UK
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
The Range is another option if you have one nearby.
My local Fabricland also sells sheets of it - with some of the 'big' colours by the metre (red, white, etc)
Maybe hunt down local fabric shops?
Has anyone noticed the link between garden centres and craft supplies? There's a couple in this area with quilting shops attached and the big Cadbury near me is my local craft shop!

Opening Project?
Started about 1 month ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
Not all projects on here have tutorials etc. Many use it to just show off their crafts.
Those marked 'how to' will have instructions, and some others will have links to the original project

New to this please help!

The [ ] mean you repeat the stitches inside the [ ] (in this case 2 single crochets in one stitch alternating with 1 single crochet in the next stitch.)
The (9) indicates you finish with 9 stitches in the row = ch1 sc1, sc1,sc2, sc1, sc2, sc1. finishing with a slip stitch to close.
Hope that helps - keep at it and you'll soon be fluent in 'crochet'!

Wedding guest etiquette
Started 3 months ago · Last post 3 months ago ·
As you have a 'plus 1' invite I see no reason why this shouldn't be a friend, female or otherwise. You could always check with him by text if you need to.
It sucks being the singleton at weddings - there seems to be two types of reactions : 1) there's something wrong with you {why else would you still be single?} 2) you need 'setting up'
oh and the married women are suspiscious of your intentions towards their husbands meanwhile the husbands are busy telling you how 'misunderstood' they are and trying to get your number!
Sorry that probably hasn't made you feel better but I find it the best entertainment!!

Received from Krista B this morning
First off - very jealous of the patterned duct tape, this hasn't hit our shores yet :(
Then inside: a gorgeous giant granny square blanket, the dark, earthy tones go so well with my living room (also jealous of your yarn; it's so chunky, soft and silky, haven't found anything like it over here)
a tea wallet and lots of teas (time to put the kettle on!) some gorgeous photos and some candy.
And some sand dollars (I only recognise these because of the Nintendo game Animal Crossing!)
Thank you Krista a lovely swap (sorry the photos don't do it justice) I'll get mine out in due course!

Bicycles
Started 8 months ago · Last post 6 months ago ·
Consider where you are going to be riding - if it's mainly roads avoid mountain bike tyres (you can always switch them out) The extra grip makes it harder then necessary! Go for hybrid or a city bike.
You also need to think about the terrain you cycling over - hilly or flat? folding bikes (that I have seen, not speaking from experience here) have smaller wheels and fewer gears which again can make to going tougher than it needs to be!
And echoing Monika make sure your bike is set up to suit you, the saddle height makes more difference than you realise

They have a great selection, their customer service is great and delivery to the uk is only £2 no matter what size your order!
