still reading the first sookie stackhouse novel, plus 'the book of lost things' by john connolly and 'a dog in a million: my life with connie' by hazel carter.

I've got 'A Spot of Bother' been meaning to read that too, loved his first book.

Dead until Dark - the book that True Blood came from. I think cuz it's narrated by the main character it's written in her dialect so sort of...just not so good as the programme. The show is very visual and vivid - obviously cuz its a show but you know what I mean the books not doing much for me :(

    GASP! I dont love Twilight

Started about 4 years ago · Last post over 2 years ago ·
I bought a key ring when I bought the dvd, its so pretty! I think having a tshirt or whatever is cool, bands have tshirts and bags and alsorts now too. These girls obsessed with robert pattinson is scary though, he is hot and seems cool, but he is not Edward! I've seen videos on youtube where they're acting like erm...vampires around him! And on videos they're like 'OMGZ he SMOKES AND drinks!' well he is a grown man! I feel like saying to them 'when you are a little older than 12, it won't seem like a big deal'.

Does pop in pop fiction just mean popular? or kind of mainstream? like safe. Cuz the way Bella is and the fact that it's a book, it seems more of a cult fan base type thing. I know there a lot of fans, but it was the girls like Bella who got into it first.

    GASP! I dont love Twilight

Started about 4 years ago · Last post over 2 years ago ·
even when they are seriously evil i find it sexy haha I have a bit of a neck/bitey fetish LOL. I've never read any other teen vampire stuff and I just can't see this as teen, it feels too sophisticated but I know what you mean about other vampire junk, I'm not gonna go running around claiming to be a vampire or something haha

I saw the books before I knew about the film, and then later I came across them again and saw that the film was coming out so I had to read them before the film because sometimes even trailers can ruin it. I don't think anyone who enjoys them is coming on some sort of bandwagon, I hate it when you get insane fans like 'I well read twilight before anyone else had even heard of it'

describing it as a 'fluff' book is good :) I dunno I just like it, I have to know what happens next I think that's down to Edward, the mystery is sexy, the character playing hard to get is oddly attactive too (plus I imagine him as the guy from the film who out of character isn't my type, but we'll see when I see the film). I really relate to Bella's situation with her dad, feeling a bit down, out of place. It doesn't feel teen at all because these kids all have cars and I've always thought American kids seem more grown up. I don't like the way she doesn't stay in one tense all the time though it makes me loose my flow, I think that's an American thing though cuz sometimes I've heard Americans recall things from the past in present tense. And speaking of which they always change UK versions for Americans but they never change it for us, so it's lucky I know what somethings are in US sayings!

I didn't know where else to put this but don't worry I won't talk about it all the time.

I like all the little handmade scotty dogs in coraline :)

TWILIGHT! oh my I'm only a chapter and a half in and I already love it haha. There's something very sexy about mystery and vampires. You have no idea how good it is for me to be able to get into something so fast because before I started reading lots it was really hard because of my dyslexia that I didn't know I had then. I still find it hard to concentrate but after a while I get read for ages without realising the time. WHY SO SULLEN EDWARD CULLEN!!!! I have to knooow!

one of those books you just can't put down

Started over 4 years ago · Last post about 2 years ago ·
Harry Potter definatly and His Dark Materials, I'm already half way through the second book.Uusually it takes me ages to read a book cuz of my dyslexia but reading more is improving it, and now I've started to sort of skim read but I always have to re-read what I just skim read incase I missed anything! Reading a good book helps though, I think when I was younger I didn't read much because I couldn't find a good book! I can't put down The Dog's Mind by Bruce Fogle and this book about positive dog training either.
