Green hair: What do you think?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post 12 months ago ·
when you dye your hair with semi or demi perm non-natural colors it is best not to use shampoo for a few washes. i think you did the right thing only conditioning. this keeps color going much longer. even if you don't use manic panic hair color you can pick up some tips from their website. some people only condition for a few weeks after using a 40 developer. that stuff is pretty harsh. you have essentially, stripped your hair of its protein. protein is needed to hold the color. that is why some people use protein filler prior to dying their hair.
i am speaking as someone who has had atomic turquoise, vampire red and midnight blue hair and is on to pursue cotton candy pink streaks on my now auburn hair. i avoid shampoo when using semi perm dye.
love your hair, btw! is the color by jerome russel. i have looked at the one before. now i want it so badly. i am going to have to find a seller who will ship to Canada.

Where do you shop for craft supplies?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
I try to find fabric at thrift stores in Canada. I will buy from fabric stores when I am in the States (I can't pass up their selection.) I have bought beads from ebay, but don't do that after being scammed. I was sold black plastic instead of onyx. That was a horrible experience. I use glass beads that I find locally for crafting. I have given up on making jewelry unless I can get to Michaels craft store and buy genuine stones.

Dragonfly, I got your second package on Friday. You really sent me a ton of stuff! I wasn't expecting so much. I would take a photo of it but it is all over my house now. I have the To Do List in the kitchen, the journal in my purse and have been sending my husband to work with love notes on some of the stationary ; ) Thank you so much for everything you sent me.
I hope you get your package soon.

Hair Straightening Tips?
Started over 2 years ago · Last post about 1 year ago ·
i wash, condition, air dry. then i section off 1/2 inch pieces. those pieces each get a small amount of serum...i mean small. i use smooth n' shine, loreal ever pure or john frida frizz ease. i straighten using close to the highest temp on the dial of my straightener. i have very curly hair and this method lasts for 3 days even in humidity. i never use hair spray when straightening before or after. when i was reading your process, i wasn't sure if you were using the products with your straightener. i don't think hairspray or the wax would help you use heat to straighten your hair...you need oil/serum.

Quick Swap! Matchbox Edition!

I am so glad you got that. I was sure your box was stuck in British Columbia somewhere. My box definitely could have been better. I had no idea what I was doing. You won't believe this but I made that thing three times. I didn't know what ATC cards were at the time...but I guess I made you mini ATC cards LOL. I knew I had to make those mini cards when I saw you liked Alice in Wonderland. Well now I can breathe a *sigh of relief* the package arrived!

{{{Hugs}}} This is horrible. I can't believe that something like this is acceptable in any business in any European country! It is shocking really. I hope you will start looking for other employment and find an agency or free legal assistance, who can help you sort this out. You aren't a teenager mowing lawns or babysitting, saving up to buy an iPod. You are an adult who needs to keep a roof over your head. This is insane and infuriating.

Newbie Vs Vet Swap (New again)

YEAH! I am so glad these things made to you! The smaller pouches can be used to hold stuff in a drawer like rubber bands, clips etc. I made some awhile ago and keep "desk stuff" in them. It was my attempt to stay away from knick knacks LOL.
My husband found a roll of magnet that you cut yourself in a thrift store. I made you a polar bear...but didn't know what to do with it. Then I thought of the magnet strip!
I was going to paste the three polar bears onto that mini journal, but thought you might want to use them differently. So I left them floating.
I am so happy you got these items. I have to admit, I was worrying over it quite a bit.

I cant move on

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't have any advice. I have suffered the loss of a family member that I loved dearly. I can only commiserate and tell you to remember the good times you shared. Being mad that someone else lives in her house, is only hurting you. That house was only property. You gram doesn't need it anymore, because she is right by your side. I am sure she wouldn't want you to waste your letting something like that eat you up.

Sometimes I can't see the project photos. I can see the small photo in the left hand corner and if it is a "how to" I can see those photos. I can not see the larger photos of the project.
Also my stats are often wrong. What could be causing this? Thanks.

I agree with Pam, email her. Genuinely tell her that you are there for her. I think the fact that you want to reach out to her is a kind gesture and that in itself speaks volumes about who you are. On a personal note, I hate facebook...they locked me out of my account and I don't know why.
Why would your boyfriends family not add you on Facebook? What is the big deal?

Canada Post
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
@ Kitty, I like Kijiji for buying stuff. I am about 45 min away from our nearest Kijiji city and 1.15 min from the next. So it is hard to sell. I hate meeting people or driving all the way to them to sell something and then they aren't home or don't show up at Tim's cause " they got busy and will try to meet me next week" UGH!
@ Lacey, I have always suspected that some of my frustration comes directly from "New Brunswick Slug Post" and not all of Canada Post. When I lived in Texas, people used to say that the mail was strapped to armadillos and sent north. I couldn't think of anything slower...till I came to NB.

Canada Post

PinkWeeds, I am from the USA and miss the USPS and UPS so much. It was wonderful. It makes me so sad that you won't buy from Canada...because I know so many other people who won't buy from us because of the postal system. I had to quit ebaying, because the time/service was so poor. I have tons of stuff to sell. I have it hanging around here, because I don't want to deal with the smaller local post offices.
I wonder why Canadian customs looks at packages going out of Canada?? Don't they have enough to do opening the packages of snacks, my brother sends me?
