Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. I didn't listen to what anyone said and I just ended up getting hurt. Looking back on it now I just think "Huh, so they were right all along", and I really wish I'd listened to all the advice I was given in the first place.

I know :). I still haven't done all my preparations though, and I had wanted to go to the big outdoors shop near here today but we're in the middle of a heatwave and I didn't fancy the 45+ minutes bus journey.

I've got a friend who's strongly Christian and she's waiting until she's married before she has sex. She still goes out with boys, but I think she's only ever been out with 1 guy so she's not just going out with anyone and everyone.
I went out with someone (well, I don't even know if I was technically together with him or what, it got really complicated) and it was a biiiiig mistake. He completely used me and messed me around, and once I eventually plucked up the courage to completely shut him out of my life I found out about things that had happened that I really wish I had never been told, and it just made me regret even more what had happened. The worst part was that people had warned me about him before but I just didn't listen. The moral of this story: if people tell you what someone is like, listen to them! And don't just let people take you for a ride, and if it looks like they're going to then tell them where to shove it :)

I'd love to try making my own toiletries (things like shampoo, soap, hand creams etc.), but I need to read up on it some more and find good recipies. I don't want to go and make something like that and have it irritate my skin!

My brother tried horse riding as a therapeutic activity and he absolutely loved it... until one day a horse made a nosise he didn't like and he was too terrified to ever go back :(.
I've got 2 insect bites (well, I think they're insect bites) on my wrist and they're sooo itchy! It's horrible because I want to scratch them but doing so just makes them worse, argh! And they've come up as huge lumps as well so they look gross :\

I don't have any crafty friends round here either, and it would be really nice to find some but so far I've had no luck :(. Being 18 doesn't help either, because craft isn't exactly thought of as "cool" by the majority of people my age.
If I ever did come across someone though I'd make sure to talk to them, because nothing ventured nothing gained. I think the same way about guys I like as well, whats the point in waiting for them to ask you out because you could wait forever! Haha. If you ask them they can either say "yeah I like you too" or "sorry but I don't like you in that way", but either way you'll find out and won't spend time and energy worrying over it.

I tried a new activity today (paintball), and I didn't try and think of an excuse to get out of it because I was too scared. I actually did something completely new for a change :)

I went paintballing today, it was loads of fun :). It was really hot under the goggles/masks though, so my whole face was really sweaty, not nice. Luckily I don't have that many bruises, the worst is on my arm, but I got quite hard shots on the shoulder, boob and head as well (the head shot HURT!) but luckily they didn't bruise. I managed to shoot quite a few people as well, and at the end a few people did a death run so we just got to shoot straight at them which was fun haha.

When I go to Honduras the humidity's going to be really bad, especially in the rainforest. I've never really been in any humid places before, so I don't know how I'll feel :\

I saw it on Saturday. It was good, but definitely wasn't as good as the first one, and it went on a tad too long. 2 hours would've been enough, so then they could've cut out some of the fighting and developed the plot more.

I'm back from a nice weekend away :). I spent yesterday on the beach because it was nice and sunny, and I did some shoppinggg... I got loads of little bits for my trip to Honduras (all kindly paid for by my mum :p), a wetsuit (which I look ridiculous in haha) for when we go diving in Honduras, some nice summery clothes, and a Filofax in an attempt to help me keep myself organised!

The sun's out, I have no revision to do and I've been told by my mum that I can officially do nothing all day (which is unheard of!) :D
I think I might go into college quickly to sort out some things, and then go for a wander round town and have a look in the bead shop (and probably spend more money :p)

Hiiii everyone :)
And yeah KT I won't move into my flat at uni until the very end of September, and then actual lectures don't start until a week after that (because we have a thing called freshers week, just so that everyone can get settled in and stuff). The only reason I've got a really long summer this year is because I've finished college now because exams are over (all the first year students still have to go back for another 6 weeks), and I'm starting back later than I would be if I was still at college/school (they go back in the first week of September).

Keeping to the crafty theme, I think a section for people to show off their craft rooms would be cool. I'm still trying to sort out my mass of cluttered craft stuff, so I'm always looking for inspiration from other people's rooms :)

Anyone else not watch TV?
Started about 4 years ago · Last post 9 months ago ·
We've got a family TV and I've got a little TV in my room, both have Freeview (digital TV that you don't have to pay a subscription for like you would for services like Sky), but my mum and I hardly watch TV. I watch it more often than my mum, but there's nothing I'll watch every single episode of. I don't think I would want to live without a TV completely though, because I like having the freedom to watch things whenever I want or things like documentaries that won't come out on DVD. But I think when I go to uni I'll learn to live without a TV, because I won't really have money to pay for a TV license so it'll be a case of watching friend's TV's or getting someone at home to record programs for me so I can watch them when I get home.

Yeah that's true, I've never really thought about it like that before but now that I do it makes sense. Like in one of my Chemistry exams in January I thought I would do terribly because there were far too many equations and tests and reactions/reagents and things to learn, but I put a lot of work in and got an A (I was completely speechless when I found out, I've never got an A in Chemistry before ever).
I'm glad I'm able to come back on here now, I can't wait to get back into crafting now that pretty much all of my time is free :)

I know, and this year it's a week later than normal so I don't get my results til the 20th. It's pretty nnerve-wracking this year especially because I'm going to uni in September so my results decide what uni I'm going to... eep!

They went okay I think, not as disastrous as I'd been expecting haha. Chemistry today was quite hard though, I think I ended up guessing most of the questions. There's no point worrying about them now though, they're all over and done with so I've just got to wait for results in August.

I'm baaaack :D. Didya miss me? :p. I missed talking to you lot, the past few weeks have been soooo busy and stressful with so much revision to cram in, but thankfully all my exams are done now so I've got the whole summer to just relax and not have to worry about college work at all.
