you could always dye the rest of the lace pink :) just saying. sorry i can't be of much help besides that. have you tried soaking it in cold water for a while and THEN using bleach or oxywash?

April J. made a really cute how-to on DIY roman shades, these would be super cute and nice to use as a cover. It's a little more complex than you were thinking, but i love these to death and if you make some, post a version :)
