Poopy kitty tush...help D:
Started 11 months ago · Last post 11 months ago ·
Thanks y'all! :)
Just a bit of an update: I changed her food 3 different times, and the one I have her on now seems to be working the best. There's no more poo streaks on my carpets and pretty much no more droppings left on the floor (there's one or two here and there but not nearly as many as there had been).
So it looks like it was her food that was the problem :)

Gypsy is an indoor kitty. I'll try changing her food and see if that helps :) I'm feeding her Science Diet (what the shelter gave me).

Poopy kitty tush...help D:

So I moved into my own place a few weeks ago and along with a new home, I decided to adopt a kitty from the shelter. It's a little longhaired Manx and vie never had a long haired cat before. A after she settled down and started coming out more and exploring, I noticed there were poop smudged here and there. I thought they were from my dog but then realized it was where my kitty has been sitting. I tried...um..."investigate" what the problem could be (before getting slapped by my cat for being anything less then a gentleman with her...) and its all sticking to her tush and not really the hair around it.
I know its a gross topic haha but I'm gonna have a heart attack if I keep finding poop stains everywhere! Someone already suggested that I take her back to the adopting center but that's not gonna happen :/ she uses her litter box just fine.

I've used paint brushed as makeup brushes before and have had no problem. They're a fine alternative for makeup brushes. Just make sure that they are clean :)

Going to the gym...? O_O! HOW?!
Started about 1 year ago · Last post 12 months ago ·
Thanks y'all!
Me and a couple of my girlfriends went and signed up for a gym about a week ago and I've found that I really have fun there. I really like the one I'm going to.
We all have re-evaluated our goals and my long term goal is to lose 10 inches. I'm an emotional spender and when I worked out in the past, I'd go shopping (which I couldn't afford). I decided that if I can lose the weight and keep it off, my reward to myself would be a tattoo.
I've mainly been doing cardio (the elliptical kicks my butt!) but hopefully will start working with weights soon and I've been trying to eat 3 meals a day (as opposed to 1)and I've quit drinking soda (hardest thing ever haha my headaches have been so intense!)

Going to the gym...? O_O! HOW?!

So, me and some of my girlfriends are wanting to go to the gym and start working out. The problem is is that none of us have ever been to a gym before. All the working out we've ever done has been at home.
We all basically want the same thing: Lose the jiggle!
We just kinda want to get more toned. My personal weight loss goal is to lose about 20 or 30 lbs (being at about 160 right now).
We're just sort of at a loss as to how to "get started" at the gym.
It's an alien world for us!
(Or is like a playground where you walk in and go to the swing set first then the slides a few times and then the see saw and then back to the swings where the push another kid off, cuz the swings were always yours, weather you're on them or not?)

Boob problem...
Started over 1 year ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
Hmmm...I think that it just kinda got bigger one day (not literally haha) and never shrunk down.
I really don't want to make my other boob bigger, just cuz I don't terribly mind the size, but that's something to look into, I suppose :o Maybe if they look symmetrical, they might look...nicer? haha
Because visually, when I wear lower cut shirts, it's awkward. Like, one boob is just like "OH, HI GUYS! :D!!!" and the other is just sitting there, quite and calm like.
Ugh...I hate boobs ;_;

Boob problem...
Started over 1 year ago · Last post about 1 month ago ·
So...I'm not terribly shy about body parts and whatnot, but I feel kinda weird asking this, but everyone on here has always been super nice and understanding of my silly questions o^_^o
So, lately I've been noticing something about my boobs: My right one is waaaaay bigger then the other one. And I know that everything on everyone's body is going to be disproportionate to a certain degree, but this is noticeably huger. I have 36 DD's, and so ever since I started wearing lower cut shirts, people have pointed them out, blah blah blah, and I've gotten used to it and already have my little black book of "My Face Is Up Here" comments ready to go haha
But now I'm starting to feel terribly uncomfortable in my own skin because of it because now I notice it and don't like it at all that one is so much bigger then the other.
I don't know what to do now about it :(
I've been wanting to get a reduction for a while now (I'm actually quite small) but I can't afford it. Does anyone on here maybe know any tips or tricks on how to make my right boob (my bigger one) look more like my left one (the "smaller" of the two).
Thanks y'all for your help :)

Cake pop help!
Started over 1 year ago · Last post about 1 year ago ·
Hello :)
So, a couple days ago, I made a batch of cake pops, just to try out, and now people are asking me to make some for Cmas, parties, work, and whatnot.
I was wondering if I could get some tips on some things :)
1. How can I keep the chocolate from melting right off the cake ball?
I've tried keepin' in the cake balls in the fridge before and after dipping, and using different chocolates to see what works best. Ghirardelli's dark chocolate seems to work the best, but still, after a while, it starts to melt and ruins the flavor completely :( I know that no matter what, chocolate is going to melt, but how can I keep it more solid (like the cake pops in bakeries and coffee shops)?
2. How could I help with the dripping after dipping?
Since the first batch was for me and a few other people, I wasn't really lookin' to make them look super pretty, but if I'm going to be making them for parties and whatnot, I want them to look nice and not have chocolate drips all down the stick haha
Thanks y'all :)

Misunderstood about a job possibility...

Well, I called the lady and talked to her for a bit, and found that I can't really do the job at all :o
Apparently they need someone to do night shifts and to work full time.
Thank you all for helping me :) Gave me something to thing about.

Misunderstood about a job possibility...
Started over 1 year ago · Last post over 1 year ago ·
I'm in need of a job and during one of my night classes, I was talking about it with the people who sit at my table, about how times have changed, etc.
One of them said that he knew a place where I might be able to get a job. The way he played it was that it was a home for children with mental disabilities, and that was really it. He said he'd get my the information.
He did, and basically told me to call his wife and ask about using her as a reference, and then calling the place.
I mentioned that I had talked with some of my friends who had worked with children with mental disorders. When I mentioned "children" though, he stopped me and said that it wasn't a place for children. He said that they're all adults there, but just "act like children".
I literally have zero experience with people who have mental disorders, and now that it's a hospital and not a home or school (which I thought it was), I'm kinda...well, nervous, I guess.
I'm not completely sure what to do.
I know I need to call his wife, but I'm not exactly sure of what to say, and I'm terribly frustrated because I need a job so badly, but can't get a call back or an interview from anywhere, and I feel like I might be throwing a chance at one away. But so many things in my life are changing (like starting college, moving out soon, trying to get a job), it all feels like too much, and I'm scared to take on so much responsibility.
I just don't even know what to do :(

Better foods for weight loss?
Started over 1 year ago · Last post about 1 year ago ·
Hello :)
So, recently I've been trying to get back on track with working out and eating right. I got after track after some family issues, transitioning to college and a death, and sort of went back to using food for comfort during those sorts of problems and transitions happened. I just decided the other day that I was going to get back to what I was doing before and working out more. After talking with my brother, I realized how important it was for me to start eating better.
I really only eat one meal a day and feel full rather quickly (which is apparently because I don't eat much to begin with and I'm the slowest eater in the history of slowest eaters haha).
I don't want to "diet" because in the past, it never worked for me, and I just ended up being too hard on myself and gave up. I'm trying to just make better choices (like choosing fruits instead of chips or candy at school).
My problem is that I don't really know what to eat (as crazy as that sounds).
I'm not sure what makes a good breakfast, lunch or dinner.
So far, my meals usually consist of a small ham and cheese wrap, fruit, a drink...and that's it. Of course, I snack during the day haha though never on anything good for me.
The thing that makes it even harder is that I'm at school from 9AM to 8PM every Monday and Wendsday, so I'm not sure what exactly to eat for lunch and dinner there that could be more healthy :o My college doesn't have a huge meal selection. Just the basics for hungry college students to feel satisfied haha I've thought about bringing my own food, but like I said, I have no idea what to eat D:
I was also wondering are nutritional bars okay to eat? My brother says use it as a pre-workout snack, but I was wondering if it could help with cravings or be something I snack on during the day until lunch or dinner? :o
The reason I ask is because I used to drink these nutritional shakes (mainly for the flavor), until I saw that they were used to help maintain or gain weight (which I found out is why grandma had them -- to help my great grandma keep her weight). Do nutritional bars do the same thing?

Sturdy, semi-shiny material?
Started over 1 year ago · Last post over 1 year ago ·
A while ago, I saw the neatest pillow made with some sort of sturdy looking material. I was in a picture, just a tiny little detail, so I'm not sure what exactly it was made out of. I want to say it looked kinda like leather? I really want to re-create it, but don't know where I could get faux leather pieces of fabric :o
Anyone know of any sites?

Gothic room ideas?
Started over 1 year ago · Last post 9 months ago ·
haha :p It's so hard to find! I don't want a black room or something overly dark. Me and my friend were throwing around the idea of a sort of gypsy room (and I could combine elements from all the things I love sort of), and then my gma and sister in law said "You need to stick with one theme, kid :/" so I just decided "eclectic" is my theme haha but I really like Victorian gothic-y steampunk boho sorta looks haha
It's so funny because the kitchen and living room and bathroom are going to be so light and crisp and clean looking and then you walk upstairs and it's like...where am I? O_o
At least...that's how it is in my head, haha :p

Gothic room ideas?
Started over 1 year ago · Last post 9 months ago ·
So I'm going to be moving into a small home in a few months (1 of everything haha one bed, bath, open kitchen and living area). Effecting except for the bedroom is downstairs and for the downstair area, I already know i want to keep it lint and airy (so I'm doing greens and whites and all that jazz), but I want the bedroom upstairs to be something more gothic. But when i try to find inspiration online, it's usually very...black haha I'm not really digign' a black room. Theres a large mirror in the room with an antique wooden frame around it that's a rich, dark brow with purple tones (which I LOVE and am staining other wooden pieces a darker brown colour to match it). I really like deep rich purples, but I want an accent wall too :/ but I cant figure what colour :o I was wondering if anyone on here might have some ideas :p I was joking about a kinda pirate room (rich wooden pieces and dark colours) or even a steam punk room. I just don't like the idea of having a black room, because, to me, it just might make this room (which already isn't huge) seem smaller.

Selling photos?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
So I've been trying to find a way to make a few bucks here and there and someone mentioned for me to start selling my photos that I take. I don't really think I'm any good at it and can't think of a single person who'd want the picturse I take O_o (haha they're not exactly hang on the wall types of photos. Just regular ol' nature pics, ya know?).
But I figure I might as well give it a go.
Does anyone know any sites I could join or anything like that that involves sellin' pictures?

Anxiety help?

Thank you both. I'm trying really hard to keep strong and will keep your words in mind when I'm not feeling so positive. I slept okay last night (was on and off but otherwise fine) and I ate a bit today (it made me sick, but it was something at least ye? I'M gonna try to find foods that might be more gentle on an upset stomach, like fruits that are in season). I went to the doctor today for the bsck pain I've been having and he said it's a spine injury from an accident i had, but we ended up talking sbout screening else that was wrong with me, and he prescribed me a night time anti depressant and said it should help calm my nerves and help me sleep at night. So I'm hoping this helps me.

Anxiety help?

Hey y'all
I'm really just looking for some support rigth now and maybe ways I can cope better.
For the past few weeks, things have been kinda...well rough, for lack of better words, i suppose. From school troubles to problems at home, I'm just getting it on all sides.
I don't really have anyone to talk to (as mellow dramatic as I know it sounds) so I'm kinda stuck in my own mind.
Lately though, it's been getting worst. I'm not a suicidal person at all and I always try to stay positive and look towards the future (sometimes that's all ya can really do, right?) but physically, I don't know how much more I deal with it. I'm so tired all the time and just want to sleep, but when I try to go to sleep, I can't. In the past couple of weeks when i d sleep, its for hours and hours and I won't wake up. But most times, I'm sleeping from 5am to around 7:30am. I'm so hungry but I can't eat anything and am having diarrhea and my stomach hurts all the time. And now I just wanna cry all the time for no reason.
It's killing my mom to see me like this but I don't know what to do anymore. I read somewhere once that some people cope with stress by making themselves sick. Is that what I'm doing?
I know exactly what is triggering all of this, but it's something that's literally impossible for me to get away from.
I just wanna find a better way to cope with stress.

How to make corset more comfortble?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
So I recently bought an orthopedic underbust corset. It looks great, but my only problem is the discomfort right under my breasts when I wear it. Everything else fits fine and I feel very comfortble wearing it. Is there anything I could do or put there to help get rid of some fo that discomfort?
Thanks y'all :)

Humanity Degree?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
That's the hardest thing for me. I love to learn! Someone once said I was a "student of life". If I do take nursing, I'll have to go to a tech school and won't be able to keep learning the stuff I enjoy learning about :(

Humanity Degree?
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
So, I'm starting college soon, and with money being an issue and that my parents are going to try to find a way to pay for it, I really need to start trying to decide what I want to study. There's an undecided program at my school that I'm thinking of entering, but I found a paper that showed the classes that freshmen HAVE to take, and I saw that a lot of classes that I really liked or would like to take were under the humanities catagory. People are telling me to do what I love and somehow things will work out (but for me, in some cases, thats been a lie and NOTHING worked out for me), but I'm at the point where I'm wondering is it worth following my dream with the posibility that nothing will come out of it, and spend thousands of dollars in the process, or should I be more pratical and try my hand at studying to become a nurse? (and I'm not knocking nursing at all :o).
I've been trying to find jobs that a person could qualify for with a degree in humanities, but nothing really has come up (expect for teaching)...
Does anyone on here maybe know something I could do if I got a humanities degree?

College bound and terrified
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
Well, I got a nice, long lecture today about how I should already know what I want to do for college and all that jazz and about how much it's going to cost, how I apperantly show no drive for anything I ever do in my life, blah, blah, blah...
It's just so frustrating, because it seems everyone else gets these exploration chances, and there's no pressure for them (except that they actually just go to school and do the best they can), while I'm over here, being told I should know EXACTLY what I wanna do for college, and when I put out ideas, they only get shot down because I don't want to go to school to be a doctor or a lawyer or a business woman.
Everything I want to do gets shot down or apperantly I don't have to go to school for that, and I get little to no support on it because no one understands it and I don't know what classes I'm required to take at this college (since I'm first in my family to go to college, no one else knows either).
I try to focus on my interests, and then I get told how dumb they are and how I'll never make it doing any of that stuff unles I'm ready to up and leave to find work somewhere else, or how there are no jobs in those fields, how no one will hire me, or one reason or another.
I just don't know what to do becuase no one around me will really listen to me when I talk (I have a few people, but none I can go to right when I need help or someone to listen). People in my family think it's dumb that I want to go into the arts and explore and want to learn, instead of just settling into a job that I might really not like.

College bound and terrified
Started almost 2 years ago · Last post almost 2 years ago ·
So I just really need to get this off my chest and talk to some people about this.
In about a month, I'll be headed off to college, and I'm scared.
Like...really, REALLY scared.
I know it sounds silly, but I'm so terrified.
The main reason is because I have no idea what I wanna do. And it's not a lack of interests. I wanna do to much.
And people are constantly on my back, telling me I need to hurry up and pick something to do. People are acting like it's a one and done deal (even though I know college and school will always be there), and I feel like I have to quickly pick something, reguardless of if it makes me happy or not.
I'm just having trouble actually dealing with this transistion, and find myself procrastinating more and more with it.
Everyone is so excited and knows what they wanna do, and I'm just off in the corner, clueless as can be, and people act like I'm the dummy for not knowing what I wanna do with the rest of my life.
Is it weird that I'm having these feelings?
