    Why Do You Enjoy Sewing?

Started over 3 years ago · Last post 7 months ago ·
I love sewing because I can make a flat piece of fabric into a something three dimensional!

A bit like this one: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/simple-boxy-pouch

(my version is still awaiting approval ;3 )

Thank you :3 I really want to make a skirt out of it, but I'm really thinking about what kind of details I'll add, or if I could make the waistband of the dotted skirt from the red fabric..

I don't have any inspiration!! I want to make it a pretty skirt, and I would also want to make a cute top out of the other fabrics but.. Just no inspiration at all for some details!!

I got some really nice fabrics from my grandma recently :3 But I have nooooo idea what to do with them!!
It's tricot, a stretchy T-shirt kinda fabric. A bit like jersey.

    I have:

    100 x 150 cm (1 x 1,6 yard) ..of red.
    170 x 150 cm (1,8 x 1,6 yard) ..of thin black&white stripes.
    170 x 150 cm (1,8 x 1,6 yard) ..of black with large white polkadots.

What would YOU make if you had these fabrics? :P

How to make a skirt fit without zipper??!

Started over 3 years ago · Last post over 3 years ago ·

I'm making a high waist skirt (like this: http://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_430xN.38940348.jpg)

But my sewing machine SUCKS so I can't sew a zipper to make the skirt to fit over my hips xD And the fabric is anything but stretchy..

So I thought of sewing in a piece of really stretchy fabric.. but i'm afraid the skirt won't be tight enough around my waist..

    please help!! :(

    Removing Rhinestones

Started over 3 years ago · Last post over 3 years ago ·
Try to look at a hardware store for different kind of glue removers, and find a suitable one. But first try it out out on another piece of fabric. Just to be sure it will not bleach or stain :3

This is just a guess btw, I don't have any experience in removing rhinestones :P

You can try to make them yourself maybe? Cut out the shapes out of plastic, or just cardboard. and then spray-paint it silver, add some vernish? :)
