That is just the thing I've been pondering !
Ale's and Lady E's are in plastic pockets

I have a fibre book which has small safely pins holding them on.It sits adjacent to my desk with Ale's Inchies on display
I'm currently playing with black netting on background and was thinking of just making a holding stitch on the back.

Well I finally feel like I have a brain. So Here goes with the posting.

Ale C -Kiko
Kiko-Ale C

That should create some color !

Now for the tricky bit.

Meeshelle to Essex Debs
Heather C to Meeshelle
Essex Debs to Heather C

We'll swap 12 inchies in a theme of the creators choice.
For this round we'll stay with fibre but I'd like to explore paper ones at some point. Please keep in contact with your swap partners let me now how things are going.
Shall we aim for a 10 day send out this time ?
Remember this is so much more fun if we see each other creations so if your sending - take pics so we can share images.
One other tiny thing what do you think to putting initials and yr on the back of your inchies-they are art after all ?

My sister's b'day card to me arrived two days late,so her, but made me laugh so hard I couldn't stop coughing for 10 minutes ( had to cancel my b'day as was too poorly-spent the day sharing dayquil doses, tissues and dozes with my hubby ) roll on 44 -gosh that sounds old!!!!

Hi Michelle,
I've made two of these. They were made for purpose rather than beauty !
I used fleece as padding and was lucky enough to have some expensive goretex which I recycled from a jacket that had the arm ripped off in a ski lift accident.
So I made a sandwich of Fleece, padding and goretex.Make sure you leave enough room to truck the top in.

If you need more info just ping.

All are welcome for the next round.I've just been updating the how do and found that Fenna Blue has posted an Inchie tote.Nice to see your finished project.

Kiko in answer to your question-yes I do use batting between thin layers of fabric layers but this is a matter of choice.I also fuse with bond -web so this makes padding unnecessary

I ran a sock monster project this time last year. The kids had great fun working with adults .You might think about looking at the inchies how to as well. You can use paper and that make pretty cards if put in sets of 3x2. ATC's are a great idea as well.

Ooooh a new craft space. You'll need lots of storage to remember access is everything.I have A-frame legs which hold labeled shoe boxes of fabric and paper for easy access.Pots for pens, rulers and the all important exacto knives.I also recently acquired a printers type set from the thrift shop with i use for display of pins and don't laugh but I keep my fav threads there to.I have a small collection of baskets which stack and contain fibres and one for ribbons.I keep beads in tiny boxes on the top so there close at hand.
Enjoy your space and have fun ;-)

Did anyone see the moon rise last evening ! Wow we were on a ferry between Kingston and Edmonds.A huge red moon rose from behind the Cascade mountains reflected in a calm Puget Sound. We also saw a gathering of around 25 bald eagles,4 pairs of courting Red breasted Mergansers and a seal.A great day.

Thanks for the site info off to do some research :0)
