I think you just know; however, that "knowing" might not be immediate. My boyfriend is, without a doubt, "The One." He started out, though, as my best friend, and even after we started seeing each other, it took quite a bit of trial (mostly because it was long-distance) before we were ready to admit it to ourselves and each other. One day, it just clicked, and I realized that he is, without a doubt, "The One."
It is hard work, but it's worth it. I'd rather be arguing with him about how to fold socks (he's obsessive compulsive) than be having a "good" time with anyone else. :)

I've actually told my bf that when we get engaged, I WANT a long engagement--the average for a couple in the USA is about 10 months; I'm up for two years or so. He was shocked. ;)
I see a long, formal engagement as something very classy and upscale. :)

why would you have a "mock" wedding?
im not hating, but it seems to me like you're just in a hurry to have the big day. be careful about that one. i was like that up until very recently (coincidentally, until i actually started to live with my bf), and trust me, it isnt worth it. thankfully, i have never been married before. i am 23, and looking forward to getting married to him eventually, because i love him. i dont even care as much about the wedding anymore. :)
i do understand where you are coming from. i was engaged at 18. thankfully, however, i discovered that he is a sociopath BEFORE we got married.
which one of you doesnt want to tell the parents? if it is you, then why not? if it is him, then DEFINITELY, why not? that right there should be a major red flag.
good luck in whatever you decide, hon. :) oh, and dont worry about people saying "youre too young to be in love." i dont think anyone here is saying that, and i certainly am not. we are just giving additional advice to help you along. :)

...why would you have to get a shot when youre 16 if you still dont have your period?
this world just needs to leave people alone and let nature happen when it happens. plenty of girls dont get it before 16. its NORMAL.

i use yasmin, and it has changed my life. my body absolutely could NOT take artificial hormones (throwing up, mood swings, random itchiness, etc.), and yasmin pretty much saved my life. :) it works great--and btw, yaz and yasmin are the same thing, except that yaz has three or four more pills a month, so the period is shorter.
as far as a miscarriage is concerned, well.... i get those cramps pretty much every month, so either the yasmin kicks in too late every month, (lol!) or its something else. i DID have a miscarriage scare once, though; the dr said it wasnt, but it was exactly like ive heard it feels, and it was nothing like my "normal" mid-month cramps.
anyway, i have approximately 4 days left till it begins all over again............... hooray............ O.o

you know, when i had that same problem with a "friend," she ended up being one of the girls my ex-fiancee cheated on me with. :-s idk how serious this sort of thing is in your friendship, but if this is how it always is, then maybe its best to just drift apart.

Don't worry about what they say. Idk if you've heard this before, but in the USA, a lot of people say, "Be nice to the 'geeks;' they'll be your bosses someday."
Also, have you talked to your teachers about this? Would they believe you?

Omg, I SO hear you on the last one! I have panic attacks on a fairly regular basis, even with medicine, and the multiple calls per day from Sallie Mae made them even more fun. x.x
I say the USA just forgives everyone our debts, and we all start over with whatever we have in our bank accounts/piggy banks. ;)

Good luck; my mom went through her menopause when I was a little younger than you, so that was fun. As for my dad... well, he never grew up; he still says that he found an age that he liked (17) and stuck with it. xD

i ate SO much chocolate last week; my bf actually commented on it cuz there wasnt much left for him. xD
i really hate it because i still get it bad, and for my entire week, we will argue and i will cry at least once a day. its horrible because realistically, hes my best friend, and literally the sweetest guy ive ever met. i feel so bad when it happens, but at the same time, im so pissed off that i lie there sobbing, waiting for him to come apoligise to ME.....
its redic.
oh, and i got mine in 6th grade. i honestly dont remember what age that was. :-P

i have multiple panic attacks throughout the day without my medicine. i know medicine isnt for everyone, but its something that does work for some people, so maybe you could ask about it if other methods, like a psychiatrist, don't work for you, or if it's so severe that its interrupting your everyday life EVERY DAY. :)

OMG, I'm having a lame period right now, too! I normally use "super" tampons, but yesterday and the day before, I was soaking through a "super plus" every two hours or so... it was way lame. That, and I had the ol' PMD, which is pretty normal for me, yet still lame.

hes afraid of commitment, besides the fact that you two might or might not be right for each other. i know its hard now, but try to be glad that you found out that hes a jerk before you got married. you didnt do anything wrong here--all you did was love him! he is heartless if he cant appreciate that you love him. whatever you do, DONT let him make you think that this was your "fault," ok?

i hear you, hon. depression runs in the family, and i have ridiculous panic attacks when im not on my meds, too. i currently take zoloft; have you been able to get anything?
one of my friends who has similar issues told me that from the beginning, shes always known that i never got the level of mental therapy that i needed.
im happy for you that you have the opportunity to go to therapy! in the meantime, know you can come to me--and everyone else who has offered themselves here, of course. :)
