yeah, i did a similar thing too :) i used two hanging hook thingies and stuck the to the top of my cabinet, with a piece of dowelling between them. then i measured a piece of material however long you want it, and hem the top. slide it onto the dowelling and hang it up between the two hooks. thats if you want a more non-adjustable screen :) hoep my ramblings made sense!

This may sound weird, but I collect my family's old socks (washed of course!) and keep them. I use them for stuffing things, cushions/plushies etc, cut up in various sizes. BUT the problem is..
I HAVE TOO MANY! There must be literally over 15 pairs of socks, plus so many other scrap fabrics and stuff which I want to use up.
I already have quite a few cushions, and I'd hate to see all these bits and bobs go to waste, so WHAT CAN I DO!? Any ideas for how to use all these socks etc would be gratefully received! :)

How to dance!?!

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I can't dance and I don't know how to! I have my leavers prom in 2 weeks, and how am I supposed to dance then?! Not like any specific type of dance, just to normal, "popular" kind of music... I just don't get it! What do I do, how do you move, without looking stupid?!? Any help would be AMAZING so I don't look and feel uncomfortable and like a fool.. :)

thankyou everyone! :) if you have any more ideas, i'd love to hear them too!
so far here's my list of predicted amounts which i know i should be able to get from stuff-
*Helping my nanny and grampy set their computer up one afternoon, they may pay me for that about £5 rather than getting an expensive tecchie person in :)
*A table at the table top sale at the local community centre, with my mum, using a few old crafty items i no longer want and some stuff from round my room; about £10 if I'm lucky I hope (theres not usually too many customers up there)
*MUST FIND A JOB!!!
*I've prepared a little display stand with a few items to display at my local library, as they have a cabinet which they allow people to put things in; they take 18% of the profits when you sell which i think is a good deal seeing as i can leave it there for any amount of time :)
*I occasionally make cards to order for family as well for occasions, but i dont think there are any coming up at the moment :)
*I'm going to design a flier and a card to give out round my street, and to put up in the newsagents, advertising for running errands/babysitting/etc :)
*I'll also look for local craft fairs to try selling at, or at least giving out business cards (i can do made-to-order items of jewellery etc), although there are not usually many popular, well-known ones in the area
*I would like to have a garage sale, but there arent many people nearby who I think would come, not that I would have much stuff left after selling it in other ways like the above, although i would like to try it as I have said :)
i'm ready!! i hope...

that would be good... i like the sound of that!! where would you get the iron-on tattoo things from, and also the nailheads things too? i'd like to try more hand-painting, but need a fabric paint which means the garment its on can be washed normally rather than in cold water like the ones i already have, if you see what i mean!? any ideas? thanks for the help!! :)
