Thanks for your input. The only time she is ever away from her parents is when she is in the care of my in-laws or her other grandmother. She really has no need.

The right age to give a child a cell phone.....
My FIVE YEAR OLD niece was just given a cell phone by her mother.... She cannot read, or immediately recognize numbers.
What do you all feel is an appropriate age for a child to have a cell phone?
I know times are changing, but I don't think it is appropriate.

I'm always searching foodnetwork.com for great new recipes and cooking techniques.
I also watch the food network on tv. My favourite chef/show has to be Giada De Laurentiis.
Even if I am not a fan of what she is cooking, I often find myself watching because she makes things interesting!

wanted to share a great healthy recipe with everyone!
1 avocado
1/2 lime
salt & pepper
peel the avocado and take out the pit. give it a nice rough chop, place in a bowl. squeeze the half lime over top and add salt and pepper to taste!
i eat this every other day at lunch. its quick, easy, great for you and delicious!

Is anyone else having a problem with the green 'Added' notification not appearing after the first time they've clicked the Add to Favorites button? Sometimes I have to click it a few times before it tells me it's been added. I'm just trying to make sure it's not a problem with my internet connection.

I can't find the link, but I recently read that a good amount of water to drink is half of your weight (lbs.) in ounces.
Example: If you weight 160 lbs you should drink AT LEAST 80oz. of water a day. And even more when you exercise.
I've always loved to drink water and this little tip has got me drinking it even more!
My problem with losing weight is finding motivation. I want to be healthy and I want to feel and look good, but I never know where to begin. I'll go a week or so of eating healthy and exercising and then I just give up.
Hopefully writing/talking about it here will help!

I've been using Polyvore for a few months now. I find that it's a mess free way to get out some of my creative energies when I don't have space or time to start a big project.
Basically you're given a blank canvas and you can design anything from a magazine style ad to personal collages. There are pre-cut images you drag and drop onto your canvas and backgrounds to compliment them.
Does anyone here use the site? I didn't see anything when I searched the posts.

Hello Everyone!
My boyfriend and I have a Hallowe'en party to go to and I'd like to start on our costumes this week. We've been going back and forth with ideas for the perfect 'couples' costume, but can't seem to decide. Some of our suggestions were Fred & Wilma Flintstone, Popeye & Olive Oil,and 'Naughty' Nurse & Hospital Patient.
My question is, what have some of you dressed up as previously, or what are some couples costumes that you think are unique?
