Looking at all these post I feel like the old lady on the board. Most of you joined life when I was in my teen years. I am in my mid 30's not old mind you just older than most of you. I am a fiber artist. My nick name is Sunshine had it since I was about 14 was given to me by some punker/skater friends. Liked it more than my real name Wendy so I have hung on to it. I am a Mae ( mom in Portuguese ) to three girls who are turning into fiber artists as well. I also love book binding and lithography and itaglio work. Grew up in California now live in Utah. I have mellowed over the years in appearance but my music is still all alternative/ska/punk/and new wave a child of the 70's-80's. I listen to all types of music and new stuff as well but stick to adam ant, the ramones, sex pistols, tsol, dk, nin, front 242, sisters of mercy, the church....and things of that sort as my favs. Nice to be here and invited looks like fun sunshine

    Your Super Sweet 16?

Started over 5 years ago · Last post over 5 years ago ·
Well sort of off topic. I have a poor daddy and he totally forgot my 15th birthday and the rest of the family for 3 weeks. It accured to them when they celebrated my older sisters birthday that mine was the month prior. Opps. So the next year he gave me a sweet 16 surprise birthday party nightmare to say the least. I was a punker in high school and still am except appearance any way he bought me a cake that said sweet 16 never been kissed DeeDee ( nick name my 4 year old brother at the time gave me). Then proceeded to invite all my punker friends and skater friends to a family party by going through my phone book. Nothing like old world grandparents meeting a bunch of teens all wearing anarchy symbols and such yikes to say the least. The kicker was that my dad had invited my current boyfriend and three ex boyfriends who all where snickering in the corner because of what the cake said and they said "They couldn't believe that my parents still believed I hadn't been kissed" ( oh course they where wrong as most parents are) any way I died for the next 4 weeks at school. Sixteen is not what it is cracked up to be that is for certain.
