This sound like a great idea.
I think the best format would be PDFs with pictures - that way people can read them anywhere. (computers, e-readers or print them out)

Like the others said, you don't really need to decide right away. Take a lot of different types of classes during your first year or two and decide from there.
When I entered University I thought I wanted to be a teacher. But then I took several different types of courses and realized that I wanted to work in archaeology. So I majored in Anthropology (with a minor in History).
As for what you said, perhaps Archaeology/Anthropology could be a good career choice. And take a minor in Art. Perhaps on day you could be an archaeological illustrator. (I know several people who do archaeological drawings by hand and on computer.)

I am in the same boat as you each time I go home. Its really frustrating to have to rely on others.
I agree with Pink Weeds - perhaps renting a car is the best option.
Is there any public transport near you? (that answer is probably no, but its worth a shot. I know when I visit my family in Philly, there is a train I can take to get me some places.)

I got Kat’s package yesterday but resisted the temptation to open it up until this morning.
I absolutely LOVE everything in it!
She made a set of earrings, necklace and a mobile/mp3 case using glow in the dark, purple and green fimo. I love the design!! And it’s perfect too, because I was just about to go out and get a new mp3 player case.
She also made me a mobile using glow in the dark ducks. Unfortunately, it got tangled and I think I made it worse by trying to untangle it. I will make a second attempt to untangle it after the coffee kicks in. She also included some extra ducks and beads.
The cards she made are also really great! I love the duck theme!!

I started using Swap-bot a few months ago. Its okay. I am very picky which swaps I choose to partake in. I also find the site to be very impersonal. There is no communication between people and it just all seems automatic.
That is the one thing I like about swapping on here. You are paired up with someone and you get to know them as you go. There is communication between people. People here are encouraging and very appreciative of the things they receive. Whereas at swap-bot, you are lucky if you get more than 1 sentence rating.

In May, I will be doing the London2Brighton challenge – a 100km (62miles), 24 hour walk from London to Brighton (on the coast) . By doing this, I am raising money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a no-kill animal charity located in London.
See the picture below. I am selling these fused glass pendants as a way of making raising money for this wonderful charity. All the pendants were handmade by me.
I will attach a silver/bronze bail, include a necklace – all in a little organza bag.

Fundraising Ideas

I need help with Fundraising Ideas.
I am hoping to do this massive hike/walk in a few months. The kicker is that the organization wants me to raise a certain amount of donation towards a charity before mid April and they won't let me walk (I will need to double it 1 month after the walk). So far I have zero. I have asked my friends and family but no one is willing to help. (I think my family is waiting to see how much I need closer to the deadline.) I even tried to say 'for X amount of a donation I will send you something.' Sadly, still no bites.
I listed items on ebay and the money will go to the charity. Co-workers aren't willing to help because there are 4 of us in the same walk. I am so keen on doing this that if I do walk, I would be willing to walk in onsie cat suit, just to try to get more donations (during the walk).
I can understand why people may not want to contribute. Many of them don’t know that there is fundraising requirement. (I don’t really want to tell him.)
Anyone have any other ideas for fundraising? Thanks in advance

I am in the same boat as you. Its a never ending battle in our house.
Awhile back I tried to just let it go and see if he gets tired of the mess. It didn't work. Sadly, I have just given in him and made a compromise (with myself) between how clean I would like things and what I can do without really wearing myself out.

Wanting to rearrange my craft room

From the look of it, I think you have a great idea with the placement of the tables and bookcases. I like the way you put the tables together and like I said earlier - I like how the chair is in between the bookshelf - which is a good use of a corner space (I always find them so difficult!)
One simple option is to move the bookcase in the corner and move the chair next to the plant, so you could make the most out of the window light.
Can the ironing board be stored upright and taken it out when you need it. If so, the plant can go there and you would have some extra room for something else (another bookshelf or desk?)

Where are the windows? That would affect were I put would put my furniture.
However looking at it, I like the second idea the best. I like how the bookcases are placed in relation the chair. It gives it a library feeling and then you have the craft area on the right.
