RE Boys and Girls Alone... the two kids that went into a room on their own did so so the little girl could tell the boy that she loved him. which is weird but also kinda cute
and the "Are you having S-E-X?" bit was between a couple of older kids, who were about 12 years old...
i'm not saying it's not weird and that kids shouldn't be determined to grow up so young, but i was like that when i was their age! it's all part of growing up... pretending you've succeeded way before you actually have haha

Nottingham Trent University gave me an unconditional offer to study Textile Design with them in September... this one's better than my last unconditional offer because it went on the strength of my portfolio/interview and at my level the more common kind of offer is conditional. BOAAAAASTING. I'm in shock, I thought I'd done awfully. grin!

I don't want to get into 'that' argument again... but they really ought to have been told all about abortion and it should've been strongly suggested that they ought to have one. Neither of the kids' families have enough money to support 'Maisie' properly. And it's not just money, I know, I'm sure that kid'll be loved for by someone somewhere, but the two kids, the dad especially, is yet to go through the 'fucking around' age that all kids do... I don't want him to miss out on that, and I'm sure he doesn't want to either. That kid'll be two ish when the mother's allowed to go out clubbing and the dad gets to the drug age. It's just all wrong.
I know loads of young mothers, I live in Swindon haha... and I know a lot of them just lumber their kids on their parents when they go out clubbing and taking E...and whilst they're all "I love my kid!" they're terrible mothers... one of them pushed her kid around town in a buggy in the winter without putting shoes and socks on it. That's just a small example that I can say for sure about but I'm certain it gets worse.
I think the legal age to have sex at sixteen is there for a reason... most people aren't ready for it and certainly not ready for the possible circumstances. When I was about fourteen I thought I was the only one not doing it, but I look back and I'm so fucking glad I waited, it's just weird.

Are you cutting with scissors or a scalpel? If it's cheapish acrylic felt, it won't stand up to a scalpel, I don't know why. But also you need to be aware that felt will blunten your scissors. Careful!

How long must I listen to next door neighbours DIYing before I'm allowed to bang on the wall back at them? They're the noisiest family in the world, I'm always woken up by them arguing before they go to school in the morning. There's always screaming, shouting and crying. Every morning I'm tempted to lie on my back and stomp my feet against the wall. Bastards!

Thanks guys! It's not as impressive as it sounds, Izzy. The school of design at Leeds is part of the main uni, so goes entirely on A Level grades, which I got in the summer. They don't trust me, they just know I've already performed to their satisfaction, hehe.
