Okay so I was really really hesitant to try them when I recently heard about them in Cosmo, but I'm really glad that I did.
I HATE tampons and pads. Tampons make my cramps worse and pads are just gross. Not to mention I have to buy three different types of things to last me for my week every month.
Well anyway, I found Softcup and for 5.69 I got 14 disposable cups. Now they have reusable ones for your entire cycle...
I just want you girls to know how awesome they are. They really are life changing and give such a freedom! I highly, highly recommend. Not to mention how much you cut down on waste and the plethora of health benefits!

I just started using soft cups last month, and the best way I can describe using them for the first time is, "intimidating" haha They look large, but you squish them into like a stick shape and push them in to the back and down and it opens up. You do not feel anything and they can be worn for a lot longer and so far, they are safer than tampons. (which I think tampons limit your flow; softcups just allow it to flow naturally, so you have a better period)
Anyways, I use these DarkAshHurts, and I am not sure where you are from, but I live in the U.S. I am sure they ship internationally though.
These are disposable, but they have the ones you just rinse and reuse. But even the throw away ones are better than using multiple pads.
I highly recommend them, and I was actually coming over to the board to rant about them, but Darling Chelsea already had! :)
Also, if you want to try a reusable one, Lunette I think is much better than diva cup. I have decided to get a reusable one that is softer and smaller. (the diva and the lunette cup have 2 sizes) and the lunette comes in cool colors.
The only complaint with the softcups is they are not soft per say and although you can't feel them once in, they are hard to get in sometimes, but mainly sometimes painful to get out.
Soooooooooooo lunette is pricier but can be used for years and comes in cool colors, 2 sizes, and soft medical grade silicone. The divacup has a small like little tube at the bottom that you use to pull it out with, same as lunette, BUT the lunette one is flat and not a hollow tube, therefore cleaning is easier and such.
@Miki, the lunette cup is super soft and flexible and I would think it will be better. The softcups are what I originally purchased, and they are VERY intimidating, haha. The rubbery ring is very hard, and removing it can be painful. Unfortunately the softcup only comes in one size fits all, vs a smaller model is available in lunette. :)
for anyone who wants to try menstrual cups I suggest MeLuna. They can offer you a more personal choice and how to choose wisely. They have a range of soft, classic, and hard. different sizes like petite, small, medium, large and extra large. not to mention you can choose what the end of your menstrual cup will look like. a ball, a stem, a loop,or even nothing for the more advanced :P. they have a form you can fill to help choose a cup that's right for you :)
and even though they ship from Germany the shipping charges aren't expensive (I only paid $10 to ship two menstrual cups)
