Yeh i find it quite sickening that they were at it and even managed to conceive. You can get free contraception in this country and yet there are soooo many young mothers and fathers. There are a lot of people I knew at school who are now parents. That boy looks like he's about 10!

Fuck The Sun.

I think fair play to the lad for sticking around! He has no responsibility whatsoever, or any rights, so that's brilliant. They might be shit parents, but then so are some people who have kids at fourty. I wish all the best to them.

Although I have a good bullshit-o-meter so I could actually work out what in that article was spun out and was complete crap (most of it). And it seems like they're only real issue is that he looks younger that he is - oh no, what a shame! I had sex at 13 but it's okay because I didn't look it?

Yeh well, i would be careful with reading the sun but it's been on the news actually. HE WAS 12 when they conceived the baby, no one should be doing that at that age, no one should have to think about that sort of responsibility at that age - and obviously he and his girlfriend didn't think about the responsibilities of what they were doing and what could be the consequences. Good luck to them but this is why it keeps happeneing, kids have kids and their kids then have kids young too. They're bringing a whole new life into the world and it's just crazy.

on the news they said that we should look at improving sex education - but obviously, they kinda know how it works.

I don't get it, I felt like contraception and not getting pregnant was drilled into me when I was in school, so much that I was extremely paranoid about it for a while.

KK - i don't get what you're saying, who are you annoyed at? The sun?

I don't think it was an outrage about having sex that young, it was more about the parenting

How does a 13 year old start dating a 15 year old? Also, ABORTION.

the paper might have just been annoyed about how they are as parents but I'm in shock that they were having sex so young espeically considering that that BOY, is a boy his voice hasn't even broken!

And courtney, it's easy considering abortion from where we are, but what would you actually do in that situation? Maybe at their age I would have but luckily I've never had to think about it and I don't think I'd have an abortion.

yeah, thats true about the abortion thing. I mean, I say that if I needed one, I will get one. But really, put in that situation, I don't know what I'd do.

Chavs.

I don't think calling the kids chavs says much...I mean the media today is highly sexualized...and now girls who are 15,16 are having childern. Or calling themselves baby packs....with the baby craze going on in hollyweird, girls think having babies is very glamourous. Whicj its not.

but its very hyped right now. High school have a high number of teenaged mothers, not everyone is from lower class familes, it effects everyone.

Sara Palins daughter was a teen mother, and they were a upper class family.

I guess why I got so upset about it is because I come from what people whould call the getto, lower class, whatever. I went to school, uni, college, I am a artist and health care worker. I could of went the route that all my classmates went....teen moms - jail- dead end jobs or wellfare. But I didn't.

You do have choises, you have to make the right one.

These kids were young, surrounded by all sides of the media telling them what to do.

Teenage pregancy is on the rise. And thats scary. Is sex ed being taught? or is the media exploiting us

sex ed is sooo sugar coated though. oh my god. When i went into grade seven (which i think it should be earlier cause its in everything, about everything) we had our frist sex ed course, which was every tuesday morning taught for an hour. the mostly just talked about what the male and female parts where and what they did. (you know what, now that i think of it, i dont even think the taught about what SEX was)

My dad was a nurse, i got the full thing. Though, he did forget to mention, not everyone had STDs, and he had some very graphic picutres of like herpies and what-have-you. I was scared to touch men for the longest time. Lol.
