Suggestions for tooth ache / absess?

Have an absess (i think) where my wisdom teeth used to be and i have tried warm salt water and tried clove oil to numb it but doesnt last long. Anyone have any other home remedy suggestions? Trying not to go to the dentist and get antibiotics

Hi, according to Facebook land, if you put an ice cube between your thumb and forefinger it makes the pain ease off, think it works for about 50% of the population, not tried it myself Happy
