Please help!! i need your opinions.

So my boyfriend and our best friend are already talking about prom and they had decided on dumb and dumber. And of course my boyfriend picked orange..picking it because I have orange hair. I dont want to go over board with the orange and look like a traffic cone... should I choose a color orange that is lighter or a different color that would go with it... if you would write your opinions or ideas on what would be cute for prom I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

You could really go with anything from parchment to rust and it could work.
I think the ruffled look on the undershirts could be replaced by handmade fabric flowers. You could make them in a bunch of different sizes and have something totally unique.
Maybe do a parchment colored dress with an orange shrug, and wear orange shoes? I think that would be really cute.

I find that some shades of brown go very well especially if they have an orangeish hue. Personally I would avoid too much orange as well. It is Ok for some occasions but is likely to be a little harsh unless skillfully organised when trying to look elegant. Your aim (or at least mine would be) is to complement his dress but still look cute without appearing odd. For this it is perhaps best to avoid harsh contrasts and blend things together a little. I think Monika has it with parchment to rust although personally I would more likely wear orange tights and stay with more traditional shoes.

I'd just like to say- good luck to your boyfriend on finding that tux- my guess is he won't though.

Make the boys wear orange and the girls wear blue - its a beautiful contrast color to orange and wear an orange sash to tie it in with your boyfriend's tux.
