Un-Natural Coloured Hair.

So as I am currently in my bed with a bunch of dye on my head I was wandering, Who here on CO+K has had or does have un natural hair colours? I'm currently dyeing my hair a rainbow of Yellow,Green, turquoise, pink and purple.

I'd love to see / read about your colours!

I've done every color of the rainbow, plus a white range of natural reds, browns, and tinted blacks. It's white/platinum blonde and short now.

I've been giving thought to putting a bright color in my hair but wouldn't know where anymore. *shrug*

I had pink and purple hair for over a year, then tried other random colours every 3 months. Now it's platinum blonde and I can't change it because I am signed with a commercial modeling agency but I really want to go pink again

I've been bright red, deep pink and navy blue in the past. I'm near enough my natural colour now and just colour it to cover greys :/

I've always had funky colors in with my natural (brown) hair. Most of my life it's been bright (manic panic) red. I've tried pink, green, black, purple, blond, blue.
Recently my hair has been Blue for few years ...right now Its blue underneath with red leopard print in my shaved sides/undercut. Happy PIC HAUL. lol

That looks really cool - love the shade of blue. Do you find blue high maintenance - I did years ago when I had mine navy. If I did it on bleached hair it washed out really quickly and looked a bit grey and almost see through. On unbleached hair it would disappear really quickly. I also had an accident with the navy dye and went to bed with wet hair straight after dying it and woke up with blue all down one side of my face! It made me laugh but looked like I'd been in a fight and took a couple of days to wash off completely Happy

@DarkAshHurts I really love the blue in your hair and the style, it really suits you.

This is my current hair adventure, which I was in the process of doing when I made this thread. I have had my hair blue, purple, orange, green, rainbow... not sure if i can remember my natural colour...

I've had my hair burgundy for the past few months, it's not really an extreme color but not really natural either. I've debated dying it royal blue or some other dark-ish color, may end up doing that later this year. Can't be bothered to dig through pictures to find a higher quality one right now, but you get the idea.

@Eastcoastrainbow ...Thanks, im really loving it. Wow your hairs so pretty! I always wanted to do rainbow of colors like that. Happy Most don't stick to my hair tho.
.
@artykitkat ...It actually was hard to maintain, until I found the right blue dye. Most of them wouldn't stick at all. I finally tried manic panic "rockabilly blue", & it's extremely staining (like it didn't just stain my hair, but my bathroom, skin, walls, everything I touched for a week. Lmao!) It's a pain in the butt at first, but i got used to it. I dont wash my hair often either, & usually cover the blue when i do. So i can usually keep it for a month, & it starts fade to green. :/
I hear "Special Effects" dye is amazing, the best wild color dye u can buy, but they don't sell it here in America. I can only get manic panic. :,(

I used Directions Midnight Blue (I think that was the name) - it was a lovely colour and my favourite colour but it just looked dreadful when it came out and was a pain to maintain. I liked it so much I actually bought myself a navy blue wig but haven't felt brave enough to wear it out. It takes a bit of getting used to so I'm just wearing it round the flat. I figured it was an easier way of having it the colour I like without the commitment or effort Happy

Here's a pic from years ago when I had it bright red - it was also shaved up the sides but it doesn't show in the pic and I've always hated having photos taken of me so not many to choose from :/

I've had bright red and have been dying to dye it (no pun intended) a mixture of blue and purple. But finding a job that allows it is so hard.

I want to dye my hair too but unfortunately my school won't allow students to put on hair color or extensions or highlights Happy but I'd like to dye my hair.... ORANGE though it might be a little freaky because well..I have straight hair and it's really straight. Tongue

BTW guys, what kind of hair dye wouldn't damage your hair or what kind do you prefer?
