Craft Mafias

Anyone in one or starting one, I'm attempting to get the Birmingham/Midlands UK one on the go, and I have no idea where to begin.

I've thrown together a moderate myspace, and now I just have to go about recruiting people. So if your a brummie/midlander crafter come have a look.

OOO you should, I think it'd be great if we all had different ones around the UK so if you were visiting or something, you'd know who to contact.

I'm struggling to find arty brummies though lol. I may have to flyer.

Make one! We should all make one for our particular area can we put 'Sponsered by Cut Out and Keep.net' although that implies the wrong thing, maybe 'In association with Cut Out and Keep.net'?

sounds like a great idea fairypants! I think it'd be much fun. I've already been messaged by a brum based haberdasher offering discount to craft mafia groups, apparently they help out glasgow and manchester, so i could always forward their details on if you start one!

Oooh good idea. I wanted to start one up in Dundee, but I'm in London now and there's probably one for each area here. We were wanting to add something to CO+K so that you could see crafters who live near you, that'd help out with recruiting members.

That doesn't matter Tara it could get people in your area into craft and onto CO+K and would help if people are really stuck with something and need someone to show them physically.

Once again I'm late for the dance. I really like the mapping and I would really like to start agroup in my area. Right now I travel really far to craft once a month with a ladies group and I wish I could find local people that share my love of crafts.
