Everyone should check with their local shops because this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day!
It stated in the US & North America, but has actually spread world wide. So if you've ever wanted to check out comic books, this is a great opportunity to do so! Just call ahead to your local shop and ask. Even if they aren't planning on participating this year, let them know you really want them to next year! Go in and pick up a few anyways, they are usually only $3-$4! Super cheap for such great art and stories :D

Thanks for this Pam, I went and got free comics last year but I couldn't remember when it was.

i dont know of anywhere off the top of my head that sells comics, except waterstones, and those comics are about £10 each! apart from newsagents selling beano lol.
one thing with the store finder, it lists some counties as cities :s
there are 2 places in croydon, 1 is filed under croydon, the other surrey, and the croydon place shut down ages ago :/

Ah! Sad I missed this... a new shop opened up just 2 min away from my house :P

I'm so sad, I can't believe I didn't know about this. :( I will not miss it next year for sure, im marking date on my calendar.
