No dress for the mother of the...groom

I've been fixing my serger Riccar for weeks now and it's almost done, I still need to work on the tension for the fabric. I'm sewing on tencel, very pale green that it's almost ivory. But, I don't have a pattern. I've made patterns before but I am the mother of the groom. How can I pick a pattern! I've looked at all the web sites for mother of the bride, but nothing for the groom.

Help me!

I think mother of the groom follows the same dress code as the mother of the bride, not too showy, not too fuddy duddy Happy go with what you think is nice

Thanks queenfairypants.
I don't know why I am so nervous about this, it's only my son's wedding.
I think I am nervous about the brides family.
I'm the only one not white so I stand out more...perhaps I'm getting more shy than of my youth? Happy

Just be yourself, I've tried too hard many a time at family gatherings, to look nice for other people instead of myself. NO MORE I say! Happy

I hope you find a pattern, I don't really know anywhere you could find one Happy

Ha, that's it opposites-girl.
Well, we have one place in town I can try to look for a pattern, otherwise I'm on my own.

queenfairypants..My son is so excited to see us again, and on this special day for him.

Thanks again so much, sometimes too much information can be overloading in my brain.
