Help! I screwed up a sewing project!

I am almost done with a cute dress in a gorgeous fabric. However, I messed up on the collar of the neck; I put the first facing in backwards! So, I took it all off. Now I am stuck. It is in the shape of a halter neck, so I'm thinking of using up some fabric scraps, re-sew a collar that will allow me to put a cord through it. I'm not sure; I have just started again, so this is rather discouraging!!!

That's a good idea Rebecca - even if you don't have extra fabric to resew the collar, you could use a contrasting colour? Sewing

I have now decided: I plan to make the collar, except I won't make it a tube; I plan to add a slit partway Dow the back and bind it over. The final part? Put a button in the back to button it together!! Thanks to all of you who have inspired me with your creativity!!

Ugh! It didn't work! I put it away for now and will decide what to do with it later; maybe refashion it into the blouse part with a tube to hold a tie. Anyway, I'm not giving up!!

No, it's not yet ! It took over 2 hours to remove the mistakes, but I'm still focused! I have some biased seam binding that matches with the fabric, and I pulled out some scraps I had. This just may work!!!!

Well, I plan to iron the dress and have one of my men take a foto of it within the week. I love it !!!
