Adapt this pattern please?

A friend of mine has asked if I can make a couple of these for her memory boxes of her angel babies. The only problem is I can't knit, like at all. Is there any way anyone could adapt this so I could crochet them please? Or if anyone knows of a similar pattern please let me know.

Ravelry has a lot of crochet patterns for soft toys. There is one called Spring Bunnies which might be suitable.
