    Knit Stitch and Garter Stitch?

Started about 1 year ago · Last post about 1 year ago · Displaying all 3 Post
I'm trying to learn how to knit and can't seem to figure out the difference between a knit stitch and a garter stitch: they look exactly the same. What's the difference? And can anybody recommend any good videos for learning these stitches?

Garter stitch is basically the name for a basic knit pattern. It just means you knit (stitch) every row, as appose to following another pattern where you do more then simply knit stitch.
