Hand drill suggestions

Does anyone have any recommendations for drilling holes in plastic items like buttons or keyboard keys? I am interested in hearing what works well for you. Thanks.

There is a cheap Black & Decker battery-powered drill that only costs about $12 and it will drill through stuff as tough as resin.
It comes with a few different sizes of drill bits, too.

There are small electric drills about well suited for craft use. Look up the Dremel Multitool on Google or Amazon. I have got similar (but cheaper) which is invaluable when drilling very fine holes. This type of tool can be bought with a variety of attachments for other tasks such as sanding and engraving.

I should also point out that it is a bigger problem to hold what you are drilling safely than to actually drill it. You may need a small vice to hold what you are drilling.

this sweet project used a thimble as a base and a tiny drill perfect for jewelry. Here is the link https://www.craftfoxes.com/blog/diy-thimble-charm-necklace
