Miquette's craft party

hello everyone, i'm just writing to say i had my first craft party at my house tonight! the idea is for a group of people to get together every tuesday from 7 until late! they bring along a piece of art or crafts they are working on and we all chat and drink juice, coffee and tea and eat fun finger foods!

tonight was great fun and a good success! luckily i have a lot of talented creative friends who came along (thank goodness i was worried noone would show up ) haha

so next week it will continue on and on and maybe we can all do a collaborative piece of art together who knows but it is fun anyway! and much better than going to the pub!

so there's another craft party at my house next week at 7! and cat and tom the creator of this site attended too hehehe

Yay it was so much fun. I started knitting a purse which I will *hopefully* continue and finish at Stitch N Bitch tomorrow!

it wasn't that messy actually but it was fun and I got a load of ants crawling up my leg, that wasn't so much fun

we did it in a friend's garden and it was one of those gardens were theres a tiny zoo in the grass! they had jumping spiders but we didn't see any of those. It was horrible I was stood there like 'mmm my leg feels odd *looks down* aaaaaaaaaaaaaaants!' They were all in my shoe too!

haha thats hilarious! i would have freaked out and been wiggling my legs frantically! euughhh it gives me the creeps just thinking about it though! i remember i did a really evil thing when i was young my friend was up a tree and i pretended there was a spider on her leg and she pee'd herself - ooops

lol I'm not keen on insects and I freak out so much if they're around or on me! I brushed all the ants off my legs and ran into her house and ran my shoe under the tap, which I feel bad about but they were all over me!

I once dressed up as a gingerbread man and then ants crawled all up my leg and in my gingerbread man suit.

True story. (Also I was about six.)

i wish i had friends that craft Happy I'm the only one who doesHappy i would so throw those parties, and have like themes... like a pirate them where everyone can work on something piratey and have fun pirate food. hhehee adn watch Pirate of the Caribbean while we are crafting
