    How to alter this dress?

Started 11 months ago · Last post 20 days ago · Displaying all 4 Post
Hi, I'm new to this site and loving everything about it! Going to post some of the crafty things I have done soon, but on to my current dilemma.
I have a white&black polka dot halter style dress, kind of retro/rockabilly. I bought it before I got pregnant, and now that I have had my baby and shrunk back to normal(ish) size, it is too small in the boob area. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can do with it? It still fits in the waist, and has a zipper up the back.
Looks sort of like this one but without the belt

Maybe slit the sides and place black elastic OR slit the front and put lace in it.

Oh I love the lace idea! Maybe I will try that, thanks!

If your dress has the same side front seams as in your picture, open the seams up, inserst a v-shaped piece of material in each one (black or white) Then, applique the same type v down the front left or right of th skirt. I think that will turn out nice.
