I NEED a dress form!!

I hate having to pin things on myself when I am making clothes...And I want a form that is as petite as I am. Anybody have any recommendations on where to find a quality dress form that won't cost bookoos of my monies?? Thanks! Happy

there a loads of how to make your own dress forms with packing tape etc all over the web

Might be useful to have some spare hands though!

I think the best type of diy dress form I've seen was one where she made the duct tape dress form and then filled it with expanding foam. When the foam dried she cut off the duct tape and had an instant dress form.
I got lucky with mine, a friend of mine had a ton of old dress forms and he gave me one that had similar measurements to mine. It took 3 tries to get the right Sally but I’m pretty happy with her. I saw a very small adjustable dress form at Hancock fabrics the other day on sale for $99 also- she was red and very pretty.

My friend just wrapped herself in duck tape and then wrapped the duck tape in fabric, but that expanding foam idea is good too! ^_^

Look on craigslist constantly, especially if you live in/near a large city. Stuff winds up needing to go often and you can get some great older stuff, such as I just wound up with two adjustable dress forms for $25. =D
