Help fixing a bra??
So, I just bought this new bra and I love it. But it has the whole torpedo boob thing going on. Ugh. I always wear a tank top under my shirts so I thought it would be okay if I had that on, but no. I still had pointy boobs. Anyways, I just really want to fix it. Here are some pictures of what it looks like.
unfortunatly that's the design of the cup, but the only advice I can suggest is between the top two lines making a cut in the middle and adding an extra overlapping edge, but that would alter the cup size.
Well, surprisingly the cup is a little big. So maybe I can do that.
Glad that the cup is a bit big as it makes it easier to alter. Looking at your second picture......where the centre piece is undo it from the top to about nipple level. Then reshape it by taking the shape in down both sides so it looks like a mirror image of the bottom.
The easiest way to do this is to trace the bottom shape onto paper and fold it over to create a full pattern piece.
Or...
You could also take a small curved V shape at either side of the centre piece out to pull the front further round to the back or if you do it on the inner piece it will pull the centre piece into the middle.
You would have to make sure the stitching curves gently to create a clean line.
hope this makes sense
Thank you!! I'm just scared to start ripping it apart because I don't have a sewing machine and I don't know if my hand sewing will keep it held up for a long time.
Put the right sides together and pin it in a precise way to keep the shape. Start sewing from the middle out. When you turn it the right way out you can do top stitching to match in the the design. That way you will have 2 layers of stitching.
