Help finding these patterns for adults

Started over 1 year ago · Last post over 1 year ago · Displaying all 4 Post
    Hey everyone :)
I need some help finding either of these patterns in adult sizes. I would really like to try them out, but I am new to crochet and dont want to try and enlarge the pattern myself. I tried that once with snow hat and it turned out awful! Oh and if you know of one of the patterns and it written out in words (not the short hand terms) thats even better :) I'm still getting the hang of the short hand patterns.

    Thanks a bunch

    Hey pam!

That owl hat is adoreable! The pattern actually looks pretty straightforward too and easy to make adult sized. I suggest that you make your foundation chain and measure it round your head, so you know its the right length. Then because the next rows are the same length as the foundation chain just keep going until its the length you want.

When you do the earflaps, fold the hat in half and mark the centre stitch at each side with a stitch marker. Then decide what width you want the earflaps. Half the width then count this number of stitches from the centre marker. This is the starter stitch for the earflap. For the following rows you just need to decrease by 1 stitch each time.

For the other bits I suggest you just do them the same size as the pattern. You can maybe do an extra row on each if you don't think they are quite big enough.

Hope this makes sense. PM me if it doesn't.

The other one I'm afraid I'd have to see the pattern to get an idea of how they do the point gnome bit before I thought about enlarging it.
