needs help making gauges

I know this is going to sound odd to most people but I just had my wisdom teeth pulled about a week

ago. I really like how they look and I was only able to keep two of them due to the placement of the in

my jaw so I want to do something special with them. I really want to make earrings. The trouble is, is I

have 1/2 inch gauges and the teeth are only a little smaller than that and I'm afraid that if I put them

in they will fall out. What would be a good way to coat them so they will be big enough? Only positive

feed back please. I realise not everyone will think this is as good idea as I do.

I don't really think there is anything dangerous about using your teeth. I think the best way to make the plugs would be to set them in resin. That way you can still see the teeth. I'm not absolutely sure resin is safe to use as plugs so you might want to look it up.

I've been doing some research and I think you're right about the resin. Happy but my idea for it is to take some silicone gauges as the "mold" that way it wont just be just straight resin sitting in my ear. Happy but thank you for responding. I appreciate your thoughts. Happy

idk if you've done it before, but if you're feeling wary about resin touching your skin constantly, you could always have a thin layer of polymer clay or maybe even wood, then the tooth in resin in the casing?

if resin can be used for necklaces, etc., why not plugs? (not rhetorical, I'm curious :x)
if all else fails, you can seal the resin up in some sort of clear sealer

That's how I saw it as well Happy I think using the silicon gauges like a mold is like what you're saying for the clay. I shall soon have pictures for them. Happy

I think the silicone is a good idea. And if you put the tooth vertically in it that would look so cool. If you do figure out how to do them you should post pictures because I would loove to see how they turned out.

I think I may do a step by step so people can see.... then again.... I kinda want to be unique .... we will see, but none the less there will be pictures Happy

This is an awesome idea. I'd love to see the final project as well.
I've wished so many times that i had extra teeth laying around. lol I know how weird that sounded.

I dont think the material would be a problem either. As long as you dont wear them in freshly-stretched ears, or Sleep in them. And you clean them (and your ears) regularly. All is well.

I'm hoping that I should be able to fully make them next week. Happy thank goodness my mom has resin.
