Oil Spill

I live close to the gulf coast and were waiting for the oil to hit land. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it?

I know there has been a call out for human hair, to make nets, huge pillow like things. Human hair soaks it up really good.

If I lived closer I would volunteer, to help clean up the seascape, and waterlife, like birds.

I read that about the human hair! It's such a clever idea. Sadly I just had mine all cut off! But I am sure they could manage to gather a lot if they advertise it well.

It's a tragic accident this spill, I really hope they manage to plug the leak soon. It will have terrible consequences for the area and the animals there Happy

There are some but I don't know any specific information. There is a website that has volunteer info and I'm sure donation info is on there.

My Terminator Governor said he was sending someone over to help since the Bay Area, CA got hit with 2 oil spills

this is so bad, whats happened, but i dont think theres anything i can really do about it, since i live over in england..

its ginormous, the scale of the environmental damage caused..

besides that have you all heard the BP jokes? and the crazy things people are doing to their buildings, logo.etc.

I mean its one thing to be upset over it, another to deface property

yeah and its really hurt seafood companies here since many resturants get their fish from gulf coast fishermen, and the fishermen are out of work. everyone is scrambling to get "an oil spill clean-up job"

I know, I do think bp needs to step up their efforts

there are countries willing to help, bp needs to accept it. This spill is massive, and is destroying animal life

waiting to see what hurricane/ tropical depression will do to the oil out there could help break it up or delay it from hitting land it some places.
