The Crochet Book by Cath Kidston is the perfect introduction kit to crochet, including all the materials and instructions you need to make an adorable granny square cushion.

Cat made one for the Cut Out + Keep office and she said, "this was my first crochet project, so I taught myself all the techniques as I went using the booklet included. It was really theraputic and I soon got addicted to making the little squares. My tension was a little off as I was a beginner so I used a smaller hook to compensate."

Win The Crochet Book kit (Europe Only):

We've got three tins up for grabs and for your chance of winning, simply leave a comment below telling us your favourite TV show, movie, podcast etc. to craft along to?

Congratulations to Chocolate, Dragoness and Lururu!

I've recently begun crafting to movies on Netflix. Last week I watch Aeon Flux, and I had no idea what was going on, but I got a great start on my first ever afghan project! I like watching shows that I've seen before. My secret obsession is watching all of the episodes of Greek back to back.

I love watching James Wong "grow your own drugs" but it's hardly ever on tv in the Netherlands. So I usually put on a Friends dvd. I've seen them a million times so I can concentrate on my crocheting without being afraid to miss anything. Marieke

My favourite music to craft to is Joanna Newsom, it's fun and exciting and I love to sing along (badly). I find it difficult to craft to TV shows or movies because I get distracted and end up watching instead of crafting but Masterchef works well.

Loose Women or This Morning!
I'm definitely starting to take after my Nan! Whenever I used to stay at her house as a kid she'd always have the knitting needles out knitting away to Loose Women! Happy

If I am crafting and watching an old movie at the same time it would have to be either ''The 39 steps'' or ''Reach for the sky'' (both with Kenneth Moore) and a nice cuppa and some biccies of course Happy

For me, Mad Men is the perfect show to craft along to... or it would be if Jon Hamm didn't constantly take my attention from whatever I'm crafting ;)

last time I Knitted/Croched was in the pub with a pint and the football on in the background. I was with my partner so he supped his pint and tried to ignore the strange looks we were getting from the locals! It was a dirty old man pub and not really a knitting friendly pub! But hey, what does that matter, when you gotta knit....you gotta knit! P.s. Football is recommended for knitting/crochet, cos you can ignore it completely and get lost in your project!

Whenever I sit down to watch tv I begin crafting - crochet, jewellery making, painting (yes in the lounge) etc. I usually miss what is happening on programmes because my eyes are on my craft. I always want to watch the weather forcast but never actually see it.

I always craft to Pokemon episodes! It's so fast paced, and you don't really need to pay much attention to it. Plus, each episode is only 20 minutes long, so I can take breaks and make sure I don't get carried away and spend hours on my project ;)
