Mark Montano's "Big-Ass Book Of Crafts" is literally a really big and heavy book of craft, but not without good reason, as it contains over 150 how-to projects.

The book also has a bunch of quirky and off-the-wall projects too. Including a chandelier made from twigs and duct-tape furniture for your living room.
With so many projects, there's definitely something for everyone. This book will leads to days and days of craft-filled entertainment. It may be big, but it justifies it's over-sized space on the bookshelf.

Book Review: Making Stuff For Kids
If you're a crafty mum or dad, knit addict babysitter or uninspired play-school attendant, then Making Stuff For Kids is defiantly the right craft book for you.
The book is crammed full of fun and exciting craft projects that are simple enough for your kids to do, while being engaging enough for grown-ups to enjoy, making this a must-buy for school holidays. Some of the best projects include instructions for sewing a tutu, a pattern for knitted critters and a recipe for play dough.
Don't worry if you're a beginner crafter either, the skill-level required ranges from basic to advanced, while suggesting which projects are best for certain age groups and providing tutorials for a range of crafting techniques. And at the very back of the book, there's an adult's only section, providing more complicated projects for grown-up's to do unsupervised while the kids rest after a long day of craft.
You can pick up a copy of the book from Amazon
or Black Dog Publishing now!

What a great way to recycle broken or worn-down crayons. Candace at Crafty Daisies has posted an excellent tutorial for making Crayon Nibbles, by melting down odd coloured crayons to create multi-coloured nibbles.

My Recycled Bags is a wonderful blog filled with tutorials for making bags out of recycled materials, such as plastic bags and the tape from cassettes. My favourite projects include the Cassette Tape Evening Bag and a Wristlet crocheted from plastic bags.
The perfect way to re-use plastic bags, so that you wont need to take a new one.

Here's a clever little tool that I've used for various projects around the site. The Xyron Create-A-Sticker allows you to turn paper, and thin materials in to stickers quickly and easily. Simply feed a piece of paper through the sticker maker, pull down on the sticker cartridge and out slips your sticker. They come in various sizes to suit your need, but I find that the handy mini version does all of the jobs that I need it to.
Use it to create cute packaging or make pretty DIY bindis.

Everyone from Craft Gossip to Craft Zine seems to be talking about the new craft tool, the Crop-A-Dile from We R Memory Keepers.
I was lucky enough to pick one up while on holiday in Canada and I've been using it for all kinds of projects since. The heavy-duty punch seems to be able to punch through almost anything and the Crop-A-Dile can even install snaps and grommets.
Julia Stanton has written a great review for it on her blog, so check it out and find out if this is the tool for you.
