Last weekend Tom and I went on a very surreal trip to Portobello Beach. The town is very stuck in the past, but it was still bustling with gamblers, sun bathers and sightseers none the less.

First up we found an amazing sweet shop that sold all kind of sweet by the quarter and had lots of old candy from way back, they even had penny sweet pic n' mixes. So, we got a quarter of toasted tea cakes and jelly buttons and then headed down to the beach.

We gambled away our money in fun pArk and won big on the 2p machines. I won on my first shot and then proceeded to win about 20p and then lose all but 2p of it. I left no worse off but had lots of fun though. Afterwards we went to buy some Portobello rock, but left the shop only to discover it was Holiday Rock with a sticker saying Portobello Beach on the packaging, we got scammed. I did manage to buy a mini water pistol to fill with vodka!

Later on we headed back to Edinburgh and to the Cameo where we bumped in to Justin from design duo, Colin & Justin in the bar. Afterwards we went to see Son Of Rambo and met up with Calum (zootm on CO&K) for drinks - Happy Birthday, Mr Leslie! I really want to go back to Portobello beach now.
