Digital Hand Lettering and Modern Calligraphy
Our #BookOfTheWeek is Digital Hand Lettering and Modern Calligraphy. Meet author Shelly Kim, make some Colourful Name Tags and #win the book from Quarry Books!
Hey friends! I'm Shelly Kim, the artist behind Letters By Shells! I am a self-taught artist with an emphasis in lettering, digital art, watercolors and fun illustrations, based in Los Angeles, CA. I first discovered the act of creating art as a creative outlet from my desire to release stress from my full-time job back in 2015. After exploring my art hobby for a few years, I eventually turned my art hobby into a full-time career making it a mission for my artwork to express love and positivity. My hope is that my art creations and journey will inspire others to believe that anything in life is totally possible. I have also collaborated with select clients including Michaels, Apple for their Today at Apple event, Adobe Students, Chase Bank, Enso Rings, and Mixbook. I am also the Author of Digital Hand Lettering and Modern Calligraphy, Co-Host of the “Hobby to Business” Podcast, Dog Mom, and I have a huge passion for teaching all things brush lettering, iPad lettering, watercolors and DIY projects!
Come on a #KitchenTour at From Bowl To Soul and see Anubhav's Warrington kitchen.
My kitchen window. I love watching the beautiful, ever changing skies and and trees from my tiny window while cooking. Also I love that I have lots of natural light in my kitchen. Even though i have a tiny kitchen, the natural light creates so much space.

Love Watercolour
Our #BookOfTheWeek is Love Watercolour by Sara Funduk. Read Sara's interview, learn how-to paint an Agate Diptych Watercolour and #win a copy of the book from Search Press.
Hey! My name is Sara Funduk and I live in Canada with my husband, 3-year-old son and our 2 grumpy old cats. I’m an art supply hoarder, I use all the colors when I paint and I’m completely obsessed with patterns. I’ve been making art since I was old enough to hold a crayon and I love nothing more than to crack open a fresh sketchbook. I like to teach art with an emphasis on experimentation and making mistakes, and you’ll see that a lot in my book. Many of the exercises are focused on letting go and seeing where the paint takes you.
