Hello all! I've missed this site sooooo much for the last 6 months or so. I'm all moved in and settled into my new apartment, and I have a good internet connection and computer again. I have SO many projects to upload, after my booth with my roomate (and best friend) Nicole Brandon  (gAk photography) at Crypticon Seattle in May. She and I also get crazy with the crafting when we're sitting around, and my amazing new-ish boyfriend is super creative, too... we inspire each other. And it's so refreshing to be surrounded by creative people again!

Here's a few pics, before I start updating my projects here!

James, Me, and Nicole. (The night I met him. I had no idea we'd end up dating 2 months later...)

Our Crypticon booth. Some of my accessories for sale, and Nicoles' photography prints and postcards.

I look so amused! =P

My friend Ryan Burke (amazing tattoo artist!) and Nicole's boyfriend, Jason - keeping us company while we sell our stuff. =)

I haven't been online much at all for the last month - finally got home from Memphis, and then the Gore Gore Girls have been incredibly busy the whole month of October. We've had a show every single weekend, and so I've been running around like crazy. I can't wait to take some time to relax and work on some projects that aren't troupe related. =P

The dead will walk the earth. <3

The Gore Gore Girls were recently asked to make a special appearance in the Staxx Brothers' new music video for their song, "War Path". The shoot was super fun, and soon the video will premier :D I love getting to be a zombie... even if stage blood tastes TERRIBLE.

So much to update. I've gotten behind! Lots of work.

But also, lots of play!

I have joined my amazing, gore-geous, talented friends in the Gore Gore Girls here in Seattle. My first performance will be in 4 days before my wedding (which I'm still going nuts trying to finish up things for) on September 14th. Currently working on putting together a new neck corset for a photoshoot, or maybe the performance, too. It's so wonderful to be working with people who are just as sick and creative as I am. But rehearsal kicks my ass - choreography to learn and man... I'm out of shape. My poor legs hurt! =[

The website hasn't been updated yet, but you can see my "partners in grime" here:

Other than the neck corset, I'm finishing up my wedding bouquet, my veil, and the last floral arrangement. Have also gotten some new beads, plastic guns, halloween toys, rib case pendants, and mooooore... so I hope to post some new pictures of some jewelry soon :D

Yay! I am almost finished with the first table centerpiece for my wedding. I just want to re-do one of the white flowers I made, and then I'll be sure to post pics.

Flower arranging is much more difficult than I had imagined - especially, I think, then working with lots of silk ones :P

So, I've decided that I'm not doing any swapping from now on. I spent a lot of time and some real effort in my first one, to make nice things for someone and to send them something that was decorated in a way that followed one of their interests.

We had a set date for the mail out, and so I went and mailed out my package. Its been 2 weeks now, and the person hasn't contacted me AT ALL. No return package, no thank you, no "something has come up and it may take a while before I can get something sent out back to you", NOTHING.

Now, I don't care so much about not getting something back. I really do like making items for people, and I thought that swapping here would be tons of fun. But first this, and now my second swap partner has just gone silent. Thankfully, I haven't sent that package out yet, but still. It's quite a waste of time to do lots of work on items you're making with a specific person in mind.

I hate to complain publically, but if you're a new user and you want to begin swapping, don't assume that just because someone is a "veteran" swapper that you'll be treated kindly in return.

I don't have much time now, anyway - I am getting married in September and have LOTS to do before then. I'm working on some centerpieces now, and next week, my hairpiece and veil! :D

... and my first swap is finally underway! i got to mail out my package to mags*a*million today. i'm a little nervous, i really hope she likes my items. i tried to take in to consideration the things she said she liked, and also to have a variety... so i hope they are well received! :D

i am also working on items for my swap with nora c. :D this will be my first international swap. i'm really excited about this one as well... i'm discovering that i really like making things for other people, and not just myself, haha :P

anyways! when mags*a*million gets my package, then i'll post pics of the projects i did for it :)

I am so happy :D I made my very first sale yesterday!!! I haven't ever sold anything that was totally handmade by me before. It's rather encouraging - I haven't had my Etsy store open very long, and I haven't promoted it at all. So it came as a bit of a shock - I had so much fun wrapping the package and picking out pretty little free gifts to include.

(It was the simple lace and bow lolita-inspired cuffs that sold - I need to get some lace and work on making more.)

So I have been ridiculously busy lately! So sorry it takes me a while to respond to messages and friends requests and favorite notifications. I'm working almost double my normal amount of hours, and trying to get ready for 2 swaps I'm doing :D I feel bad that its taking me a couple weeks to come up with some pretty items to share, but I just have very limited time to craft!
Though more hours at work means more crafting supplies for me! I got my first couple blocks of polymer clay last weekend and had SO much fun with those, I stalked Ebay a bit and ended up winning 16 colors of sculpey III and fimo soft for less than $27. (and that includes the shipping.) I really really can't wait til they get here. I'm tempted to hold off sending out my swap items until they do, so I can include at least one item each from my new favorite supply.

I got:

2 - Translucent
1 - Red Hot Red
1 - Emerald
1 - Turquoise
1 - Violet
1 - Hot Pink
2 - Lemon
1 - Granny Smith
1 - Purple
1 - Atomic Orange
1 - White
1 - Plum
1 - Chocolate
1 - NightGlow

This makes me very happy, indeed :D

Almost everything I've been working on these last couple of weeks is swap-related so I can't really post pictures of it until my swap buddies get their packages. I'm so impatient, though - I really want to share!
