Yay!

I've been sketching a lot of outfits lately, and I really enjoy it ^_^

So, I made a new name for my "clothing line". Really, it ranges from cocktail dresses to steampunk to Victorian. Anyways, its call Lock & Key Designs. I like the name...what do you think of it?

Yep. I like it. I'm having a lot of fun with designing clothes, and I really like fishtail skirts, I've discovered.

As most of you know, I have been spending an inordinate amount of time on the Random Rants thread. Sigh. Some of these rants are about the way my family (well, me and my brother) are treated on the street we live on.

People are making fun of him for the way I dress. Which I find cowardly and stupid, but I digress. I have been reassured by my mom that this is just the Way Boys Act. But really, the boy I know don't act like that. I really don't think this is the Way Boys Act most of the time.

So, I think ignorance is to blame here.

But anyways, I really want to do something about this situation but have no idea what or whether that would be a good idea.

Maybe I should just let my brother man up a bit and finally stand up for himself.

Because I won't stop being myself, just for some ignorant group of boys.

I added a bunch more purple to my hair this weekend, here are some pics:

I put some blonde in it to bring out the purple tips and highlights.

I sent some to my grandparents, and they shouted 'cool courtney!!' at me through the internet, so presumably they like it too.

Also, I had a fruit juice drink today called D'Peach Mode. It made me giggle :]

I <3 my duct tape waist cincher!!

But...I don't think I'll be allowed to wear it out anywhere :(

Sadness.

Things That I Would Like To Do:

1. Wander aimlessly around Town Square, dressed in my finest Victorian clothes and holding a parasol

2. Design/make all of my own clothes

3. Be taken seriously (I know thats bad grammar but you get it)

Hmm...

I've been designing clothes a lot lately, inspired by the lack of good clothes that are in malls and shops. I like my designs. I will make them one day.

Also, I've been ranting probably too much for my own good. I think I'll try to not let things get to me as much, although the incident at dinner tonight simply depressed me.

In other news, the part for my sewing machine is on backorder and I won't get it till next week. "/ argh. I really want to finish this dress.

This year on November 1, I will have been on CO&K for2 years!! :D
I love all you guys, you totally inspired me to be more creative and put my creativeness to good use! :D

I also just joined last.fm and I love it!! I have spent about 2 hours today finding new awesome music, I also have a newfound love for industrial music.

Anyways, thats about it. I need about 2 billion dollars in iTunes gift cards now. Or, does a Zune pass work for an iPod? Probably not...

I'm starting to make a cape as soon as my new sewing machine piece gets in, I'm really excited!

I am really really mad at the close-minded "skater" kids on our street. I already posted this rant on the board, so I'll just outline their ridiculous hypocrisy here.
Ok. So they think they're all MISUNDERSTOOD and DIFFERENT and UNIQUE. Except when someone different from them a.k.a. me...I'm classified as UGLY. Ugly? Really? That's very immature, guys. Just because I'm *ahem*...unique? Gothic (maybe? hopefully?)? Courtney Couture? (Pick one, I'm a hybrid.)...it doesn't mean I'm ugly. It just means I don't fit into the mainstream. And yes, you are mainstream, you douchebags. You need to get over yourselves. And just because I don't cake on makeup and dress like a slut doesn't mean I'm ugly (did that make sense?)

UGH! I really feel like ripping off their heads and drinking their blood out of their skulls right now.

By the way, I know that rant didn't make any sense but I really needed to get it out.

I have some summer projects I'd like to try, especially to get better at making clothes. So..heres a list.

1. Duct tape tube top/corset thing (this is just for funs)
2. Skirts, skirts, skirts!!! (in cool fabrics and with lace)
3. Repurposing/restyling old t-shirts
4. SOCK GLOVES (ahh...my first venture into the world of craftyness)

So there ya go. I also have a shopping list to renew my supplies

1. Measuring tape (i dont know where that went)

4. Patterns
