Been looking through all the amazing re-used item projects on here, and getting inspired. You people are all awesome, and I wish more people would be as creative as you. I want my kids to enjoy a cleaner world when they grow up. :) Maybe little by little we can accomplish that! Every little bit counts, right?
Right now I'm in the process of making some newspaper purses (how-to's will be posted when they're finished, cuz I'm adding to them)... and using the plastic bag yarn-making how-to's on here, I'm making some plastic yarn out of newspaper bags - so they should be nice and colorful, though my loops aren't as big so there's more knots.
Anyone else doing some good RRR stuff?

I *cannot* leave Value Village (that's a local thrift-department-store here... it's a GIANT second-hand store)... without buying some awesome fabric or some yarn. And SO many things I'm tempted to buy and somehow restrain myself (well...with a little help from hubby being there haha!).
I got this fantastic brown plaid patterned corduroy fabric yesterday... it's "end bits" from someone's sewing project...but there's more than enough to make either a short skirt for me or something adorable for one of my kids.
AND... I got 2 brand new skeins of Bernat cotton yarn for $1.99... in Canadian money... ONE skein would be $2.99 new, if that helps. OMGYESTHNX. lol.
Anyway I had to brag about my findings. Gonna make something outta the cord soon, for sure. Anyone else get fantastic stuff from thrift stores? Do tell!!!

A little to know about me... mostly that I love art in absolutely any form, and crafts are just crazy fun and fantastic. I'm just learning to crochet, so if anyone wants to hit me up with some of their fave links or patterns, I would love-love-love you for it!
