Lately I have spending most of my time online looking at some of my favorite shops (while also looking for new shops to consider to be added to my list of favorite shops). That is when I found SassyNpunk. SassyNpunk is shop run by Leyla who makes tons of cute handmade goodies! Her shop carries handmade jewelry, hair accersiories, makeup, purses, and more! When I found out about her sailor moon collection I was so excited! I watched almost all of the sailor moon episodes over the summer and loved every moment I got to watch the show. My favorite sailor scout was sailor Jupiter but SassyNpunk has not come out with a sailor Jupiter piece yet. I can't wait in till they do though! She also has a wide selection of handmade saniro related items that feature hello kitty and even Little Twin stars! Her little twin star items are amazing and so creative! When I first discovered her shop I was surprised at how affordable her items were! I recommend you check out SassyNpunk! you can check out her shop here.

ok so i didnt make barrettes the other night, i decided to make cards instead. My mom and grandpa got me a very generous Target gift card for my birthday, and since i spent most of it on craft supplies (Target has crafts? yes, not the best selection but some stuff), i wanted to make them thank you cards.

so after perusing CO+K for some ideas, i had chosen Magazine Envelopes but couldnt pick a card style i liked. But i was remembering seeing a certain card folding style on here in passing and i had done it before but i couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called. So after a million Bing searches, (folding styles...no not napkins, paper folding styles...no not origami...oooo there's a CHINESE art of paper folding??.....oh thats it!!!! IRIS FOLDING!!!!!) i found it. oh wait you need a template?? and i dont have a printer...oh well screw it im going for it!!!

so i did...and although i think it would be easier with a template, because then the little papers would be equidistant from each other, i think they turned out great....you tell me...i got a little carried away with the one on the right lol, it went into a spiral.

lol gawd, my camera sucks, i have to try to take some better pics for when i post the project. so for the envelopes, the magazine pages ended up being to small, so i used blank white scrapbook pages, had my 7yo daughter decorate them with some bold bright colors and shapes, and voila! Non-magazine envelopes lol

so theres my project of the day!! hopefully tonight i'll make those barrettes :D Happy Crafting!!!

I didn't make anything today because I had a ton of organizing to do. Things had gotten stacked up pretty bad around here--lol--so before I started any new projects, I needed to clean up a few old ones.

However, I have been thinking about my next project, and I think I'm going to make some hair barrettes tonight. I've been very inspired by the projects on here and just got a pack of generic hair barrettes from my grandpa (picked up at the flea market--lol--he's so funny) and want to try out my brand spankin' new hot glue gun. So I'm thinking flowers from a Hawaiian lei and a few other odds and ends and we'll see how they turn out. I will post pics when they're done.

If anyone even reads this....LOL... oh well, I'm mostly just wanting to blab to someone and if that someone is ME, that's ok too. :D I love this site and I'm on here pretty much every day, getting inspired. I've even seen a few things on here that I'm like.."Hey, I made one of those a long time ago!" Like the duct tape rose pen. I have a pink one and I plan on taking a pic of it and posting it as a version soon.

Well my children are screaming for their supper--lol--so I guess I'm done blogging for now....Happy Crafting!!!

It seems odd to be naming my first blog entry on CO+K "Finally", but i have been trying to figure out how to do it since i first signed up! lol and i finally figured it out thanks to a scavenger hunt on the forum.

I'm not even sure if I'll keep this up....but i might as well try. I've been on this site religiously for a few weeks now and i'm amazed at the creativity i see. I was at an impasse in my creativity. I was kinda blah and was having trouble being inspired. And now i'm going wild!!

A bit about me...I'm a stay-at-home mom of three kids and it's been driving me crazy!! lol. i've been so bored and now i feel like i have a new lease on life. Maybe that seems a little melodramatic but i'm happy and i want to spread my happiness with crafty goodness :)

I've been creating stuff my whole life, anything i could come up with, you name it, ive done it. Lately i love cutting up t-shirts lol and i dont have a sewing machine and i dont have the patience for sewing by hand so a lot of my t-shirt creations are no-sew. I plan on putting some of them up on here soon.

Well i suppose i've blabbed on enough for today, except to say that i love this community and can't wait to share more and be inspired.....Have a great day!! :D

I completely forgot that I was doing the blogging! Oopsie! Oh well, not like anyone is actually reading anyways LOL

Anyways, I've picked up crochet. I suck at crocheting rows, but rounds I am great at...esp the amigurumi or whatever you call that. :) It's fun, I super like it. I've made a crochet cup so far, and I'm almost done with the octopus :) FUN!
