How would you describe your style?

Grandma chic- I love vintage silhouettes, a pastel hair rinse and bold glasses.

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

That is a tough one- I own so many things I adore. I have an amazing customised jacket Jack(et) by Jill Skulina (a Dundee based designer) that means a lot to me. I haven't had it very long but I think it'll be a staple.

Who are your style icons?

I have so many! I love the old Hollywood glamour and the modern versions for me are Cate Blanchett and Diane Krueger. My style icon growing up was 90s kids tv show Clarissa Explains It All, which might explain my more outrageous prints. I also look to bold and colourful bloggers.

Do you have any favourite designers?

Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and Sophia Webster. My fave small designers would be Dead Sleekit, Hayley Scanlan and Kirsteen Stewart.

Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

Anywhere and everywhere that I get inspiration from- whether it's independent, high street faves or vintage shops. In Edinburgh I like to shop in smaller boutiques, like Godiva or Hannah Zakari, or wander around vintage fairs.I also like The Whitepepper, Monki, and Lazy Oaf. I like using ASOS to find new brands.

Do you make or customise your outfits?

Helen and my friendship actually grew out of customising outfits back in the early 00's so I have a lot of cherished pieces and cherished memories of terrible pieces! Making outfits is something that's always on my to do list but I never get around to. I'm trying to dust of my sewing machine a bit more regularly, although mostly for alterations so that things fit me better. A good fit is so important.

Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?

I'm quite fond of loud things so normally I have to work on paring it back! I would say inject colour! It seems crazy but actually the more you add (in the same palette) the easier it is because no one piece is jumping out. Try wearing two items of one colour and two of another to balance it out. Don't forget the details- even a bold lip or nail colour can brighten up a whole look.

So so many that we do a regular Blog Crush feature. Scottish girls include Bee Waits for Noone, Love from Lou Lou, Honeypop Kisses, Miss West End Girl and Glasgow Fashion Girl. Other bright babes such as Sara is in Love With, Fashionicide and Scathingly Brilliant.
