How would you describe your style?

My style is vintage-inspired, cute, feminine and quirky. I love small details and unique prints, and I prefer my style to have a dreamy softness to it. I would not say I’m particularly trendy, and that’s one of the things I love the most about my style - it’s eclectic and doesn't follow fashion.

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

I can’t choose just one favourite piece, but typically for me it tends to be that the latest thing I buy becomes my favourite and then it is my favourite until I get something new. At the moment my favourite is a little black dress in an early 60’s style with a matching cropped jacket (think Jackie O’s twin sets).

Who are your style icons?

I tend to look to the ladies of the 50’s and 60’s when I want to be inspired. My number one icon is the ever-stunning Audrey Hepburn. She embodies everything I love about style. Out of the current ladies my favourite style icon is Zooey Deschanel. I love how she mixes old with new and there is always a quirky element to her style.

Do you have any favourite designers?

I like small, independent designers. When someone is working on their own little brand and make amazing things - that’s when I get interested. Two favourites are Eilidh Ho, designer of Book of Deer, and Jennifer Baquing, designer of She Loves Dresses.

Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

I adore Book of Deer, I love the uniqueness of the hand drawn prints and unusual embroideries. I also like Miss Patina, Emmy Design, Lindy Bop and ModCloth very much.

Do you make or customise your outfits?

I do have a couple of skirts that I’ve made myself, but they are very basic. Other than that I tend to mostly make my jewellery and accessories. I love to make my own necklaces, earrings and hair accessories. My preferred material is polymer clay. I love that you can make almost anything out of clay! And for a girl with a sweet tooth like mine I just love to be able to wear cupcakes, macarons and other sweet treats!

Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?

I think the most important thing for personalising an outfit is to stay true to yourself. If you wear what you want and only care about yourself then your outfit will by definition be personalised. Mix things the way you like, mix old/vintage and new, wear what you think is pretty/cool and don’t forget that accessories can make an outfit!

There are many, but the first that comes to mind is Liana’s blog Finding Femme. Liana was (and still is) my biggest inspiration for starting a blog. She’s got such grace and class, it’s always lovely to see her beautiful posts.
