Come behind the scenes at The Crafted Life and tour Rachel's craft room & office in Portland, Oregon.

I'd have to say the size! After living in San Francisco (and working from home in my 400 sq ft apt) for a few years it feels good to finally have the space to spread out while I work.

Tell us about your space

I have two spaces in my home that I use for different areas of my business. My office space, which is the second bedroom in our apartment, is where I work a majority of the time. Most of day consists of being on the computer, emailing and editing photos. It's also where I prep all my Etsy sales for shipping.

The garage is where I make the photo holders I sell on Etsy as well as any project that require drilling, sanding, etc.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

Well the garage was a nightmare before I moved in so I spent a good amount of time cleaning and removing spiders (see for yourself here: http://thecraftedlife.com/garage-makeover/).

For the office, I try to keep it clean and have a candle going all the time.

How do you keep organized?

Due Dates + Editorial Content: Google Calendar.

As far as my supplies, I'll tell you when I figure it out :)

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

The main one is to store your acrylic paints upside down if in a box! This will help you find the color you need faster, plus ensure that all of it gets used.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

My favorite possession may be my camera, just because I'm constantly glued to it.

Most of my projects are on display in our home which I love. Photo holders (http://thecraftedlife.com/diy-geometric-photo-holders/), a diy vase (http://thecraftedlife.com/10-minute-vase-diy/), and this wall art (http://thecraftedlife.com/30-minute-wall-art-diy/) just to name a few.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Pinterest is really my go to for collecting inspiration. I also have a notebook full of scribbled down ideas.

Where do you look for inspiration?

I try to get outside when I need inspiration. A walk around my neighborhood always clears my head and allows me to think. It's amazing what stepping away from the computer can do .

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

1. More storage; most of my supplies are still in boxes from our move

2. A photo studio up so that I didn't have to work on the floor on photo shoot days.

3. A CNC Router / Laser cutting machine
