Make a teardrop fascinator and paint your shoes with Vibes & Scribes in Cork, Ireland.

How did you get started?

Vibes & Scribes started life as two bookshops in Cork City. After 15 years in the book business, in 2008 we diversified into arts and craft supplies. This proved so popular that three years ago we opened a three-floor craft emporium at 3 Bridge Street Cork and became the largest craft retailer of its kind in Ireland.
On the ground floor we have a wide range of dressmaking, quilting and bridal fabric as well as millinery supplies, haberdashery and trimmings.
The basement is dedicated to knitting and crochet, and we stock the widest range of 100% Irish wools and yarn in Ireland.
On the first floor we offer a broad range of craft supplies, from decoupage, jewellery making, card making and DIY wedding supplies to a choice of materials for the fine artist.
In autumn 2014 we launched our online shop, shop.vibesandscribes.ie which now features more than 10,000 crafting products.
Vibes & Scribes is now one of the largest retailers for craft supplies, art supplies, wool, fabric, haberdashery, and upholstery supplies in Ireland. Located in the heart of Cork City, Vibes and Scribes is one-of-a kind in Ireland as it encompasses the wide range of DIY possibilities. Vibes & Scribes also offers an online shop that features items from the massive collection available in store, shipped both locally and internationally. Across the shop and online, Vibes & Scribes’ prices are competitively low and the variety available is extensive.
The fabric section not only features textiles but also feathers, hat bases, lace, appliques, buttons, and many more supplies for millinery, fashion design, and upholstery. It is also well stocked in sewing and quilting supplies.
Not only is Vibes & Scribes one of Ireland’s largest sellers of DIY wedding supplies, our art and craft supply section offers a broad range of art supplies. Jewellery making, card making, decoupaging, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, and many more crafting pursuits all have a home here.
