Come behind the scenes at Decor Asylum and tour Dimitra's chic home office in Argos, Greece.

I love the DIY gold lines on the wall.

Tell us about your space

It is the biggest of the two bedrooms of the house but we prefered the other one as our bedroom due to the view. When we first moved in, we placed our bookcases there, hoping to make it into a home office. Well that took about 2 years but after a few days' work it was done! It still doubles up as a guest bedroom when relatives from my hometown (Athens) visit.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

One of the first DIYs we did when we first moved in was paiting the outdated yellowish built in closets black! They matched the also black bookcases opposite to them beautifully. So when it was time to make the room the home office it was meant to be, there was only one way to go: white and colorful accessories. The walls are white, the desk is white, even the curtains are white. And with touches of color and bit of gold it gives of a very light and happy feeling.

How do you keep organized?

I can't stand a messy space so it's kind of natural to me to have things organized.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Boxes! And don't be afraid to think outside the box. My pen holder was sold as a planter!

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

My desk is filled with gifts from fellow bloggers and of course a couple of my DIYs, like the small neon pink round box or the painting on the wall above the sofa.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

I am definately not a list person, so it all goes into small mental notes!

Where do you look for inspiration?

My memories, the internet and everything that surrounds me.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

Ohh I would love to have a separate studio space with an enormous desk. A place I would'nt mind if paint was spilled or the cutter went a bit to deep into the surface.
